...Shouldn't someone go to the original $150 auction, and take some screenshots? This IS a muscle record- most paid for a single non-rare figure?

Well, I was about to say that it didn't REALLY end up going for $150 because Yapiel jacked up the bidding at the last minute. But if you look at the bid history, both Doc and a legit guy named beneblanco had a maximum bid of $150, so I guess that's what it would have gone for regardless of Yapiel.

Here's the first auction, if anybody wants to check it out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/...item=1765447818

I don't think it's fair at all to call the purple hand non-rare. How many have been seen? just this one?

Well, just remember that there are quite a few MUSCLE collectors that aren't in this group. This might not be the only purple Hand seen, and some collector out there might have a bunch of them. Who knows?

where the hell have i been, i cant believe i have missed this whole thing until now and theres only 12 hours left in the auction. Had anyone tried to email yapiel to see what kind of response he had? I mean if it was just ick@aol.com he might just say some bullshizznit or not respond but an email from the potential shill bidder might spread some light on the situation. I appreciate you trying to let me have this one doc, but im not going to bid on it for a couple reasons, i dont have the money needed to win this auction (there were other legit bidders who bid 150$ too, im sure they are watching this and will gladly swoop in and take it for half the price), second i dont want to risk 40$ if theres a good chance i might get scammed (I thought of using escrow, where he doesnt get paid until i get the item, but i dont know how to do that and also see reason #1), thirdly i know that there are other hands out there and we will see one soon. Its gonna burn me if i know someone has the muscle i have looked for for so long

Damn i went and looked up escrow and that crap is expensive as hell, for a 50$ purchase, escrow is 18$. screw that. Ebay just needs to increase their security measures, like with the verified stuff they do on paypal, if a seller is verified as in ebay knows where they live, and a buyer is verified, much less shill bidding and stuff would go on i would think, or at least it would be easier to spot.

Wow two hours to go, however disapointed it got a bid, I am happy to see it recieved only one. I love seeing this arse get burned when he could have sold it for 100+ I have the feeling someone will try to snipe it considering how many people were interested the first time though. :D I sure would like to see a few more purple and magentas come up soon.

I dunno... I have a feeling that there is in fact NO magenta claw... If there hasn't been one, not one figure that can be accounted for in all nine colors, what makes the claw any different?

Come on man! Don't be so naive! Do you really think it's possible? No, no it just can't be. Is there, somewhere, a figure that spans the entire muscle rainbow? No way... Not if there hasn't been one already... Someone should take over for that guy who started the known color listing...

I`m glad this loser ick got burned!!!! B)

On the subject of every fig being available in every color..........I do like to have friendly debates and argue about everything with people,(never taking it to far of course) so what I`m proposing is this, everybody who needs 1 or 2 of a fig in a certain color let me know and I`ll check all my figs to see if I have em for ya! I will also search ebay constantly for them for You guys too! I forgot who but someone here at akia needs #145 in green to complete the spectrum, I always keep an eye out for that fig and I know that it will surface sooner or later!!! There were a crapload of figs that I thought I would never see in certain colors but I found em eventually.

It may take years for another purple hand to surface and another ten for a magenta hand, but they will!!! I refuse to believe that they only made 8 colors for every fig and not 9!!! The thought of that is so pinheaded it`s pathetic!! :D (told ya I like to argue)

Anyway, everyone who wants to prove that they do exist in all 9 colors should start posting what colors You need so we can end this debate asap!

Mwa ha ha ha ha!!! I see that beneblanco tried to hike up the price of the auction, but he didn't really try too hard. Anyway, I'm glad that ick lost $109 with this auction. It seems like we're finally showing these toy dealer maggots that we mean business! B)

Personally, I think that even $41 is too much for this (or any) MUSCLE, but oh well...

As for the color debate, I doubt that all MUSCLEs were made in all the colors. I think that every figure was probably made in some of the more common colors like red, blue, and purple. I also think that some of the more popular figures (like the Hand and probably some Musclemans and Terri-bulls) were probably made in all the colors. But I don't think that it's realistic that EVERY figure was made in EVERY color. I mean, how many multi-colored Curry Cooks do people have?

Anyway, that's just my opinion... it's not like I'm basing it on facts or anything, so I could be completely wrong.

arforbes, just tell me real quick that if i had bid $50 (my max) on it that you still would have won the auction, just so i feel better about not bidding on it.

Also be sure to keep us posted with how the seller handles the result of the auction and if he follows through.

I am pleased to see he missed out on a hefty paycheck because he was greedy the first time. I did want that freaking claw though. Enjoy Arforbes, Beligerant still gets the next one, I wasn't counting this one because I was hoping nobody would bid. So I am waiting for two more purple hand auctions before I bid again. Hurry up purple hand owners, sell your sh:t.

That`s really weird that beneblanco would only bid as little as he did this time around. B) How do go from $150 to $40? I don`t know maybe money is tight with him now or something.

Anybody ever see that movie carlitos way? "Remember me? Benny Blanco from the bronx" B)

...maybe money is tight with him now or something.

Or, maybe he really does read the posts here, and saw that the seller's integrity is questionable. He may have been willing to risk getting ripped off $40, but not $150.

So have you gotten any response from the seller yet, arborbes? I hope he's not stupid enough to try to neglect contacting you so that he can relist the auction.

Yup,

I paid him right away through Paypal and he responded with this:

Hi Alex!

Thanks for the superfast payment, you rock! They will be shipping by
Wednesday which is my scheduled shipment date.

Thanks again!

Eric

So I expect that everything will go smoothly, hopefully! B)
