*NEW*  Kochiras the Spider from Part 6...

B)

Isn't this one a bootleg?

I didn't think Kinkeshi's came in pink

No, it's a legit Kinkeshi figure. There were some made in PINK. That is the only one have ever come across though. Kinda cool looking in pink.

B)

Actually, he is a bootleg, but since those bootlegs were the only ones to come in that pink, no one seems to mind.

I ran across these pix while searching for the kinkeshi that came with my kinnikucolosseum. They show what appear to be pink kinkeshi in a Bandai set. Would that make the pinks legit??

Apparently so. But I have only come across 2-3 pinks that were the same mold quality as legit kinkeshi.

If that ring's as cool as it looks, we in the US got shafted with our break-after-a-fight rings!

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Here you go GIlgar!

Thanks Johnny.

After I found the pictures above which show what appear to be legit pink kinkeshi I started wondering how many people have pink "kinkeshi" that they think are legit i.e high quality moldings, ysnt markings, etc?

If you can, please post a picture too. Here's a crop from a pic I had of the lot I won with my "pinky" Sorry, about the picture quality, I've got a hella busy weekend with one kid at a fastpitch tournament all weekend and the other Xmas caroling with her Brownie troop so this is my first time back home today so no time to take a good pic anytime soon.

I'll post a better picture when I get a chance and if there's interest in this topic.

This guy's a good quality mold, has the ysnt marking and is the same consistency as my other kinkeshi's that I know are legit.

O.k, so I have checked through my pink 2 inchers, and though most are indeed bootlegs, one particular Ashuraman stands out above the rest...

Looking this figure over, he definately appears to be of the same quality as a legit Kinkeshi 1990's reissue. Whether he is a kinkeshi or just a high end boot, I cannot be certain, but if I had to guess, I am leaning towards legit.

One more pic, from behind:

I have one pink that I think might be genuine. He is a slightly darker pink than my definate bootlegs. He has a very apparent trademark that isn't faded like the trademarks on the bootlegs. His "skin" also has dimples or grooves or whatever, just like his legitamite brothers. The bootlegs have a smooth skin. His feel is slightly more firm than the yellow kinkeshi I have and obviously much softer than the M.U.S.C.L.E.

Unfortunately, the camera I was borrowing from a friend ran out of batteries before I could finish taking shots, so I have to get the charger from him, but I did get a few photos off. In this first shot, you can see the pink next to a yellow kinkeshi and a flesh M.U.S.C.L.E. They all appear about the same height. I believe the slight difference is due to the feet not all having the exact amount of extra plastic. You can see how the figures lean different ways.

This side shot shows the height similarities as well as seamline similarities. You can also see the dimples on the pink one that I don't notice on the bootlegs. I will post more pictures later, showing the trademark as well as a color comparison to my definate bootlegs when I can recharge the camera.

Here is a color comparison. Notice how it is slightly darker than the two others that are definate bootlegs.

So, what do you guys think? Genuine or fake? If you'd like any other specific shots, let me know.

Sorry to bring up such an old topic but I figured it was better than starting a new one. After many pink kinkeshis, I finally got another that could possibly be legit, and a claw no less. It has a much better consistency then my obvious pink bootlegs & a better color. It also has a very defined y/s n t just like my other legit kinkeshi claws. what do ya think? Anyone else have some they think are legit?

dangit the back picture is blurry, I'll try another

It's a bootleg. Look at the mold shrinkage.

Yeah, I think you're right I hadn't really noticed that it's just slightly smaller till I looked at the picture again. If I put them side by side it's even more pronounced, oh well, cool none the less. I figured it was a bootleg when I saw it but the lot also had a few glitter kinkeshi also. And it even came with a MUSCLE man, #71 in salmon. It's a little lighter color which excited me when I first saw it, but it looks like it's just fade. Too bad it wasn't a nonmuscle sculpt
