We often talk about what are our favorite figures, the best figure, and even our least favorite figure. Now it's time for these figures to battle to the death. The figures have been selected and seeded based on LRG threads and administrator discussions. I have also tried to credit the site's that provided the pictures.

Each morning I'll try and list a new game. The board will be given ~24 hours to vote for the winner.

The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

I know I said I don't normally like to post first, but I don't care today. This was an easy one for me, but I feel like I'm picking the eventual loser for their next match-up.

For me, these figures have some big problems.

I'll start with the Mega Man figure. While Sigma had the cool cyborg thing going too, this figure shows how it can go wrong. There's just no fun or playability in this figure for me. It doesn't exude any character, plus I can't even give it points for a fun stance. With his arms down like that he could be the guard at the door, but not much else. And while the design is ok, helped almost exclusively by the hoses and tubes, the head just seems stupid. The top of the head looks like he's wearing a dumb hat.

Now, in theory, Tyrannoclaw is a pretty cool character. However this figure has some major flaws for me. The biggest being those big eye lashes. It makes the figure look completely effeminate, which is hard to do with a T-Rex head for an arm. The second problem is the balance of the left arm. This is what the balance of the arms should look like (look at Tortle's drawing). And lastly those green shorts. Now I know Tortle made it work in his drawing, but they just look terrible here. For the sake of the figure they should have left him naked, or at least black shorts. That green just looks like hell.

But Tyrannoclaw wins because his playability is off the chart. If I gave this to my son, he would love it. He wouldn't care about the arms, eye lashes, or shorts. Frankly, if there is one reason I could end up continuing to vote for this figure is his playability. This figure is a great toy.

My vote is for Tyrannoclaw.

At last! I have voted for a figure i actually have, rather than a figure i have never seen before. I was beginning to think i had some how ended up wit a collection full of crap, whilst someone else on the otherside of the globe had all the decent stuff. Anyway...

I voted for Tyrannoclaw. I think he is a very weird and interesting figure. I often take him down to have a look at him and marvel at the bizarreness of the figure. The colours are nice, i love the orange colour of the figure, they didnt try and over complicate the colour scheme. But that little face, man that is creepy, those eyebrows, the pinheaded grin, the T-Rex head and tail for arms. Excellent! IT's a totally WTF? figure.

The megaman guy, is a lot weaker than the other megaman. His head and his feet look wrong. I kinda like his arms though. I think they went and over complicated his face though, it doesn't even look like it was designed they just crapped that one out.

Interesting...the same factors that cost Archibathor my vote in his battle will give Tyrannoclaw my vote here. Id have to agree that i think the winner here is going to lose in their next match.

As appealing as Archibathor was with regard to its color scheme its soft sculpt body with less than intimidating extremities (no claws on a reptile? Huh?) couldnt put it over the top for me. It struck me as to soft and child friendly. Plastic Candy if you will in that it was appealing to the eye (the silver and red) but tehre wasnt much substance. Now in the case of Tyrannoclaw you have some of the same issues. The sculpt is very soft and child friendly. The facial expression screams " I like you!" or "Place me next to your fruit loops!" but at least in this case , its saving grace, is that it has a

BIG FRICKIN REPTILE HEAD on its arm.

That works for the kids and that works for the adults ( in that you can imagine this figure is a hermaphrodite or at the very least its character is sexually confused. Or schizophrenic ).

Truthfully the Megaman Blizzard Buffalo figure should have garnered my vote considering it does have a a very detailed "hard" sculpt with beautiful hoses and mechanical looking bells and whistles. The problem is the sculpt is to condensed with its protruding head, low center of gravity and bulbous torso. All of this could be overlooked if it were painted and had highlights that would accent its hoses and "joints" but as a mono color figure it comes up lacking (which is odd considering muscles arent penalized for the same issue).

Id rather OWN the Megaman figure myself but the Tyrannosaur figure is the better toy overall and hands down better for the kids.

Divide & conquer works because of attachments people make to push-button issues, individual "leaders," parties, clans, tribes, policies, or agendas, leaving them open to manipulation.

This is one of those that I can't quite put my finger on...

Blizzard Buffalo looks good, and Tyrannoclaw looks hokey. But Tyrannoclaw just works. That he reminds me of this super-rare doesn't hurt.

Easy, if unconventional, win.

I went with Tyrannoclaw. Even though Blizzard Buffalo has more detailing, he just looks goofy to me especially the head sculpt. The color on Tyrannoclaw is a major positive for me as well. Plus he has a gigato T Rex for a hand.

I have both,. and while both are very kewl, the Tyrannoclaw figure is a bit heavier, harder rubber and has a really incredible paint application.

No wonder he is currently ahead 15 - 0 :)

This one was actually a difficult decision for me, which is kind of surprising because I love dinosaur-themed figures. But this Tyrannoclaw has a lot of flaws. The dino head is insanely huge, which has always kind of bothered me. But also, I've never really liked Tyrannoclaw's design. The character having "both ends" of a Tyrannosaur for arms is cool, but the character's true head is has a weird, almost nonsensical design that I don't like at all. I agree with Veers in that I hate the eyelashes. My FAC entry was my attempt at trying to improve the character's design with a better head and feet, and more structured arms. (Not to imply that my take actually is better or anything, but I wanted to make an attempt.)

I like Blizzard Buffalo, but he seems a bit generic. The robo-detailing with the tubes and vents is cool, but there doesn't seem like there's much that's particularly exciting about it.

So, despite the flaws of Tyrannoclaw, I went with him. At least he has a T-rex head!

Well; I must say I am prejudiced, because I really love MOST Megaman-stuff.
But in addition to that, I just don´t like the concept of a head for an arm that is totally different,
than his ´real´ head, especially since it´s WAY bigger than his ´real´ head.
Also, I must say, it seems to me kinda like this figure was just parts smashed together in a poor frankenstein movie; sorry guys, but I tend to like Dr. Wily´s creations better ;)
And Blizzard Buffalo sounds cool (could have been a decent BB-name),
but Tyranoclaw... doesn´t even have claws... just some unclipped toe-nails.
Sure it has fangs on one of his hands; but NO claws! :p

I guess my vote in the end is most because of my dislike for Tyranoheadhand,
then for my love for Blizzard Buffalo, because there are much cooler MegaMan-foes out there!

Dr. Kossack 77 :D

PS If Tyranoclaw looked like this:
Attached File  tyrannoclaw_by_Tortle.jpg   294.93K   2 downloads
my vote would go the other way,
because THIS :) looks like a complete,seamless
GREAT Frankenstein movie creature! ;)

Hey, those of you who voted for Tyranoclaw, how about sending me your Blizzard Buffalos? :)

Blizzard Buffalo is the easy winna. Of course dinosaurs are cool, but that combination of sculpt and paintjob just leaves Tyrannoclaw looking silly, whereas Blizzard Buffalo is aching to lay down an extreme beatdown on all of you nay-sayers.

(Also, I think this is a great tournament idea, even though all of my favorites are doomed to lose. Eccentric and odd tastes, I have.)

Tyrannoclaw never interested me as a figure... he looks weird to me. Plus i've never been a far of dinosaurs. BLIZZARD BUFFALO to me is a better and cool looking sculpt by far. Can't hurt that i love robots and Buffalo's...

this time both realy neat looking figures, but i just cant see me voting for anything kinnikuman related over any megaman figure - plus i really agree with nachoz - the facial expression on tyrannoclaw looks too goofy - in all honesty, i think there are better megaman AND um figures.

Other than the T-Rex head for an arm, everything else about Tyrannoclaw is a bit of the limp wrist if you know what I mean. His face and short shorts make him look like Trannyclaw for the love of God, and his other arm is one of those trainwrecks of a nub that you just can't help but stare at when you see one of those unfortunate people in public.

While everyone seems to be criticizing the pose of Buffalo, I think it exudes the "could snap on you at any minute/ you talkin to me?"

I dunno I just think Blizzard Buffalo would kick Tyrannoclaws ass after his lopsidedness has him tipped over unable to raise his right arm off the ground.
