The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

I voted for Ozone, I love the fact he is lugging around a giant bomb, working so hard. The only Army Ant that gets serious face time on my desk.

Based on the criterion of sculpt, the ant is much cooler for sure. However, I absolutely love NRO Cheap Toys. Sometimes its all I can do not to pop them in my mouth and chew them up like gummy Swedish fish.

This time around i voted for the garbage pail kid. From what i can see Thin Lynn looks better than Brainy Janey and i am not as impressed with Ozone as i was with the other army ant from the last round. Also listening to what Soups said about the detail being obscured in the photos i will give the garbage pail kid the benefit of the doubt... To be sure though maybe someone should send me their entire GBK collection so i can make a much clearer judgement mwah ha hahaha ha

Ok, I know Soupie knows his figures. And I've never held one of these red (or whatever color) figures in my hand. I have only seen other colors – which I thought were nicer than the pictured red. I also agree that the collectibility of the GPK's is a strength.

But I really don't think Thin Lynn is an overall better figure than Ozone.

This is a weird match-up for me, because I think both figures have lots of strengths. Thin Lynn is a fun figure. It has a great look, seemingly nice detail, and probably looks good in any of the colors.

Ozone has a painfully amount of uniqueness. I think the sculpting of the body, specifically of the face, really makes this figure look strained. And while the sculpt limits him to exclusively carrying a bomb, it still has an incredibly amount of fun.

My vote is decided by this assumption. If these two figures were placed next to each other 100 times, then a child would end up playing with Ozone the vast majority of the time.

this is a good match up. these two are both awesome. ozone, being from the only set of blue army i didn't have as a kid, i secretly covet. but thin lynn is definitely one of the better gpk sculpts. i even checked toypedia and saw a green thin lynn in a pile of series one figs to get a better look. after a little soul searching i finally zeroed in on ozone. just love that bomb. one of the truly original characters from that line.

this is the 1st round that i have both figures and i like both figures. both for different reasons.

i think army ants are just a great toyline, completely classic. they could have come out in the late 60's and been popular, they could come out next week and be popular (and it surprises me that they arent still available like poopatroopers) but as SD said last time one came up, they are so hard to find with the things that make them so cool. thats the bummer about them.

this summer sheila found a thin lynn in bright lime yellow at a garage sale for me (for a quarter!)
i really like a lot of things about GPK cheap toys. i like that they came w/ candy. i LOVE the smaller than expected size. plus this figure still has that "new to me" aspect, so thats the one i went with today.
