Which is the overall better figure?

The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

Yes it's another Army Ant, but with the regions and rankings it just sort of fell this way. This might happen from time to time. Don't worry, other figures made it in too.

For me this was an easy choice - The Megaman sculpt wins handsdown. I think it looks awesome! The best megaman sculpt i have seen so far. The Claws, the tail, the armour the details. It has all the components needed to make a truly great figure, it is a figure you could quite happily sit and look at time and time again.

The army ant figure does look fun, i like the idea, it would be nice if rotor blades spun round. I can imagine as a child i would have liked the playability factor of this figure, but he just cannot stand up against the well designed Volt Catfish... I would be suprised if this figure did not go far in the tournament

I agree with musclemenkids. This matchup belongs to the catfish. It is definitely the best megaman sculpt I have personally ever seen. Windy is definitely one of the weaker army ant sculpts. This will probably be a landslide victory.

These both look like fun strong toys. I went with Volt Catfish just because the detaling is a little stronger and those claws are pretty cool looking.

Volt Catfish is a decent figure. However, I love aircraft, and Windy is a slick crossbreed of an ant and a helicopter. Sure, he's missing a tail-rotor, which is an essential feature on helicopters. But most folks probably wouldn't pick up on that--much less care--and as a kid, Windy is the one I would have played with. So Windy got my vote.

The child in me or the adult fan....who will win out?

I cant in good conscious give the Army Ant the nod here. Its bright , its fun, it has wings (fwoosh!!) but ultimately its run up against a superior sculpt in every area.

The MM keishi is also bright, it has sharp pinchers / hands, a tail and for as a bonus it has a strong detailed sculpt. The army ant just lost to a better LRG and theres no shame in that.

Divide & conquer works because of attachments people make to push-button issues, individual "leaders," parties, clans, tribes, policies, or agendas, leaving them open to manipulation.

I'm with Articulationnut. This is battle of the child vs. collector.

I really like both of these figures. The Catfish just looks completely bad ass. It has great detailing, the whiskers are incorporated beautifully, and the tail works perfectly. The only downside is that the claws give it a crawfish/shrimp/lobster look.

Windy, well he's just plain fun. It's a flying ant dropping bombs. It doesn't seem to have the character that some of the other Army Ants have, and it's a little unclear where all of his legs are located. Maybe they are under him, but then what is the helicoptery bottom part?

The Catfish ends up getting my vote. While the Army Ant is a great plaything, the Catfish truly is the better overall figure.

this one has all the makings of a bloodbath. definitely one of the strongest sculpts i've seen from the mega man line. this orange army figure just can't compete. sure it'd be fun to play with flying around. but it'd be much funner to take over the universe with volt catfish. i think musclemenkids is right, we'll prolly see the mega man fig go deep into the tournament.

i generally like army ants a lot but windy just isnt one of my favs.
volt catfish is a freakin AWESOME figure but suffers from the same thing that can ruin an armyant. without the tail, volt catfish looks like crap (not carp) and it is common to find missing its tail.

i went with VC cuz this one has its tail intact

This is true. Glad to see someone else around here knows their Mega Man.

My vote is for Crush Crawfish, that Army Ants figure is definitely one of my least favorites out of that line. And you can't go wrong with aquatic robots.

I will probably vote for Volt Catfish too, if he ever comes up for reals. :D

Yeah, I'm sure the Megaman series will dominate this tournament. The Robot Master sculpts have always been top notch for their size. REALLY US toy companies could still learn a thing or two from the Japanese sculptors who seem to catch even the most minuscule detail in even their smallest toy lines.
