The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

Hmmmm, I am not doing Gormiti any favours. I really like this Gormiti figure and i really want to vote for him, but I cannot. Checkmate is one of my favourite ultimate muscle figures and i think he is one of the most original characters. His chequered cape is classy, his various transformations are cool powers. And chess is a fantastic game, and he has a witty and cool sounding name.

Prismagon is a cool figure, but he is not as original as Checkmate.

I voted for Prismagon, even though he might be my least favorite of the Gormiti entries so far. I'm not a big fan of the shaky paint apps on the painted Ultimate Muscle figures, and most of that line has been nearly ruined for me by now anyway with all the weeaboos and cosplayers. It's hard to take seriously and overall just lacks the charm of the original M.U.S.C.L.E. line.

Checkmate is a cool character design and concept though, this particular figure just may be a poor representation.

I think Checkmate is a tad stronger then the Gormitti. Colorwise he is a little better, stance/pose are equal, originality goes to Checkmate.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I un-passionately voted for CheckMate. Not one of the best UM molds, but much better than Prismagon.

Prismagon encapsulates for me what doesn't work about most of the Gormiti line. Yeah, it's a kind of weird humanoid monster, but there isn't anything at all outstanding about the mold itself or the paint application. It doesn't look extremely badass, evil, heroic, or interesting. Just dull.

Say what you want about the CheckMate paint application, but at least he has EYES, and face details.

One of the transformed versions of Checkmate, particularly the knight centaur, would have gotten my vote. I like Checkmate, but I don't like him like him. I'm not particularly excited about Prismagon, but I gave him a vote.

The Gormiti is cool, but it looks so much like the other Earth Gormiti that Checkmate gets my vote.

Prismagon isn't from the Earth Tribe. He's actually from the Light Tribe. And later, in Final Evolution, the Sun Tribe.

i had to vote for checkmate. i couldn't in good conscience vote for a figure that looks like the designer scribbled it on a post-it note as he ran out the door to start his three-day weekend. there's really nothing remarkable about it. as for checkmate, i would much rather vote for the non-painted version as i think it looks a lot cooler, but since his competition was almost non-existent in this one, he's safe.

All other things being equal the Checkmate figure has more character. It looks like a person where as the Gormiti figure looks like modern urban spray paint art. Angled and yet rounded at the same time, fun looking but ultimately generic.

Divide & conquer works because of attachments people make to push-button issues, individual "leaders," parties, clans, tribes, policies, or agendas, leaving them open to manipulation.

Do any of the UM figures not look like male dancers?

Granted Checkmate is a cool idea for a character, but this one doesn't deliver. I vote Gormiti by default. Cool LRG's should not look like dancers, period.
