Each morning I'll try and list a new game. The board will be given ~24 hours to vote for the winner.

The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

IG-88 is one of the coolest figures I've seen in this round of polls. A potential winner, definitely.

IG-88 for sure. The sculpting is pretty good, and the arms appear to move, so that increases playability.

I love R2-D2 like the next guy, but this one looks like it got a round in the microwave.

the r2d2 looks like a poor quality pencil topper. the ig-88 screams old school sci-fi robot. resistance is futile. vote for ig-88.

I am surprised to see R2 simply getting no love.

This could be one of the few times that I actually have both figures in my hand. And my vote easily goes to R2-D2. IG-88 looks great, but he feels surprisingly frail. In that Marvel HFOH thread someone mentioned their concern that the figures might be too fragile - this guy borders on it. He also seems a bit prone to warping, and I wouldn't doubt that many people have an IG-88 that won't stand up.

R2 is perfect. Not only does he fit within the style of the figures (while retaining his look), he is also scaled incredibly well - which only adds to the cuteness. When you stand C3PO, R2, Chewie, and Han next to each other they look awesome. But as you add Luke, Obi-Wan, and others its clear that only a handful of these figures were ever considered to be scaled. I think R2 is a perfect figure for collectors and kids. He'd look unique in an R2/robot collection and he'd be a fun plaything for kids. My son is playing with Galactic Heroes and I think R2 is simply one of the best.

My vote is for R2.

That is so True , i only have several figures of the newer series ( sorry if i don't know the correct term for them )
one of them is IG-88 and he doesn't stand up , well he does but just , if he does stand and you fart in another room somewhere in the house , it'll knock him over , it's a real pain in the neck.

you know yout SW stuff mate

Thanks. :D

This is one of the few times where I feel a really great figure got beat by a piece of junk. Top 5 upset in my book.
