Each morning I'll try and list a new game. The board will be given ~24 hours to vote for the winner.

The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

Big Pappy Prime! Ventress looks like she's waving a plane in for landing.

For me this is a tough choice. Sure OP looks good. The positives on him are pretty obvious. His two weaknesses are that he's got that pointing hand and too rigid of a pose. There isn't any "action" in the leader of the Autobots. Possibly the most dynamic Transformer is standing with locked knees pointing – where's the playability?!?!

I actually think this might be the best version of Ventress I have seen. She's in a playable stance (with two lightsabers!) and still looks cold-hearted. I'm most impressed with the sculptor's ability to make her look thin without looking fragile - something that seems to happen with most thinner figures. Like R2, I think this figure appeals to both the kid and collector.

My vote goes to Ventress. Prime is too much fun to simply stand there and point.

The pointing arm looks great though, you just have to turn his head to be looking where he's pointing. Then it's like he's in the movie, all calling out Megatron. Unlike other branches of this line, some of the Robot Heroes have heads that move, and a handful of them require that to make their poses work.

I'll go with Optimus "Pull My Finger" Prime, bringing new meaning to the word 'Skidmark.'

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Are people just voting on the characters? :woot:

I don't like the Ventress character in SW, but she's an incredible type of figure. She's a female action figure that looks female, accurate, and playable in sculpt. Normally female figures are overly sexualized (not that it would be likely with this line of toys) or just weird, like this:

No. Asajj has a very well-sculpted body, and it actually looks feminine. She definitely gets points for that. However, the only flaw I find with Prime is the pointing arm, and as Scummy pointed out, the articulation helps to make it more useful. The flaw on Ventress is bigger and harder to do anything about - her head. She looks like Professor X with makeup. No expressive facial detail, nothing about the head that actually makes her look female, and boring in detail. She's not a horrible Galactic Hero, but not good enough to beat Prime with that noggin.

I voted Ventress, she is a pretty cool figure. Both sabers are articulated for different action poses and playability. The overall figure itself is cool looking. I dont particularly like the purple things around her mouth, otherwise the paint sculpt is awesome (body, detail on head etc..).

Optimus, sure, I agree it is OP, but the figure is gay. If he was holding up a Fist of Fury, rather than pointing at something then maybe, but I still would have probably voted Ventress.

I'm eating meatloaf.

But that's what the character looks like. I'm not crazy about the original design of the character, but the figure certainly conveys her look. In every comic or cartoon she's either sulking or grimacing – here she's somewhere in between. I just think it's a really good interpretation, and toy/figure, of the character.

I unfortunately own the Ventress figure, got it and a few others in a lot of figs I bought. I hate it, but until I am able to rid myself of it's unpleasantness it will sit on a shelf in my room. I think ugly figures help make your other figures look better when you put them beside them.

But I have to agree a little, the body sculpt is decent for the characterization, but I disagree about the head. The head is terribly sculpted. It's sort of like a painted ball of putty. Nothing about the sculpt emits the evilness of the character. It looks like she is bored as well as chewable. :woot:

Optimus gets my vote, not just cause of the character, but the likeness is very well done, and I actually find the stance very appealing to me personally. It shows his leadership, stand him in the front lines pointing to the Decepticons and have all the other action posed autobots running in behind him ready to Transform and Rollout.

I'm also going to gang up on Veers and say that the Ventress sculpt leaves much to be desired. If her face were more angular like in the Clone Wars cartoon, it might help.

I also don't really like the costume. Like most Expanded Universe figures, it doesn't look Star Warsy.

I actually really like the Prime figure, pointed finger and all. It looks like he's either barking out orders to Autobots, or tattling on someone. "Bumblebee did it!"

I like Primes detailing, too. And the blaster helps. So, Prime gets my vote.

In this particular instance, I did. It's only because my hatred for her is so great though. If she were on fire, I wouldn't pee on her to put it out.

I like both of these figures,This was one of the hardest match-ups for me so far.

Otimus Prime
It was very hard for me to find a flaw in this figure. I really love his pose and color scheme, but what I really love the most about him is how they kept his size just right, normally with these types of figures they tend to over exaggerate the torso, legs, head etc.

Ventress
I love her pose and how she is holding her sabers. the one thing I don't like about her is how they didn't put much detail in her face.
They should of had her in some form of battle cry.

This was a really hard vote!,but in the end.Optimus wins by an inch.

I dunno. I can stomach jar jar (barely) but I want to run her down with a loaded tractor trailer. I think she's a worthless character and they could've come up with something, anything better for a sith apprentice. I've seen LOLcats that would've been better suited for the role.
