Each morning I'll try and list a new game. The board will be given ~24 hours to vote for the winner.

The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

I agree, plus this is a very nice version of Luke, it actually looks good and fun. Usually the basic hero figs are just boring. This was also one of the more fun scenes from ESB. Though there wasn't many scenes from that movie that wasn't fun.

empire strikes back is one of the two star wars movies i can watch and not feel ashamed for doing so. yoda and luke together isn't spectacular. luke's face is a little too cutesie for my taste. but the alternative is so generic it must be called no name yoda.

it seems my love for this "style" of line is lessening by the day. i think i'll just stick to the gi joe and doctor who series and let the other ones kill themselves off. the over saturation of the marvel figs (or should i say spiderman & friends) has to lose momentum soon. the star wars series seems to be moving more toward play sets which is prolly a good idea. i bought the rancor set after seeing the pics nicodemus put up in his collection thread. and there are a couple of the sculpts in the line that i really like. not because i have an attachment to any of the characters, but they're just really cool character designs. if i were to buy them, they'd never be played with as star wars toys. just toys.

I know what you mean man. Normally these contests make me want to buy lots of toys i don't have yet. A few weeks into this one and i've got 100 Superhero Squad figures up on ebay.

I went with Luke+Yoda, simply due to the fact that the lone Yoda is garbage.

Back when I was doing customs of the Galactic Heroes line I think my market ended up being people who weren't exactly pleased with the line, as my approach seemed to downplay the cute aspect. That I believe is why my sales were hit & miss. I figure who searches ebay for a custom in a toy line they weren't that happy with in the first place?

hehe, so true. although, there is quite the market for custom my little ponies that seem to target men over women. what with the ponies being dead zombies or nightmares and such.

I'm pretty sure those are still targeted towards girls, just the Hot Topic lurking variety.

Aw man that made me cringe. Got a wife that's also a vintage toy collector, over the years i've developed the same eagle eye for those shortcake minis as i have for m.u.s.c.l.e.s. :clapping:
