Each morning I'll try and list a new game. The board will be given ~24 hours to vote for the winner.

The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

I went with the Stormtrooper.

Ok, fine he has that pose – but he's a great toy and even a good collectible. I think this match-up shows the disappointing shift in Hasbro's strategy with these types of figures. Deadpool looks like a smaller version of Deadpool, it isn't really a characterization. The Stormtrooper feels more like a different characterization, or at least a very stylized Stormtrooper - making him feel unique.

In general, the more Hasbro tries to keep the figure looking exactly like the character the less charm and interest the figures ends up having.

Veer's
i would have thought being such a huge S/W fan your goal with collecting would be close reapplication or i dare say Clone like resemblance.

I voted against the Stormtrooper for that reason.

Hardly. It's nice to see something original, that doesn't suck, with SW. I think this figure fits the bill.

if you wanted a close replication you could just buy the regular star wars figures. :p

i voted for deadpool because i would rather play with him. on both design and character levels.
