Clearly, as the title would indicate, ol' Jimmy is getting back on his soapbox again. Bear with me.

 

Lately, there has been a lot of turmoil on the board. Especially with the Clonewars fiasco reaching it's apex, board moral and confidence has sagged a little. I am seeing and reading a lot of words that express a hesitance to deal and trade with other board members... And I wanted to take the opportunity to remind you all that YOU ARE NOT THEM. 

 

You are not Clonewars. I have dealt personally with a lot of you guys, and for the most part, you all are a stand up bunch1 We're all brought together by our love of toys, and 99% of the time, deals go off without a hitch, and .5% of the time the hitches are just minor shipping snafus. Over the years, we've seen quite a few shit-heads come on and off the board... But that is the minority, and that the majority of you guys are honest and hold up to your ends of the bargain. 
 

Don't let the bad apples ruin the board, or wreck your confidence in the board. Being cautious is never a bad thing, but let's not be jaded by all of this. We kick ass, and we've earned this place.

I'll admit that I was a little concerned at first, especially due to the fact that the guy had never pulled any shady deals before pulling off the mega scam. However, it will NOT stop me dealing with the great people from this board. I've been a member for just over a year and, as my feedback suggests, I've already been part of many fantastic buys/sales/trades. I can still remember the slight anxiety I felt with my first ever deal - a handful of MIMP from EricNilla. If I hadn't have joined this board and dealt with its members then I simply wouldn't have the cool figures that I do right now. We all must continue to trust each other and soldier on through any shit.

Yeah, it's pretty unfortunate that a thread like this even has to be made in the first place.

 

Coincidentially, all of my trades this last week or two have been going really smoothly. Let me also chime in that people on this board are friggin' generous as hell. (Or a good chunk of them are, anyways.)

I can vouch for the community, alot of people here are good/great/awesome sellers, my biggest transaction I have ever made resulted from joining this place, by privately buying up one of the members entire Laser Beasts collection and spending thousands of dollars to do so. I was taking a real risk giving up that much money, because I had to do it in payments, and would get half at a certain point and the other half during the last payment. Needless to say I was very happy I joined this place or I would have missed out, I only wished I joined sooner. I also bought alot of other things from various members and have been happy with what I got.

I agree the majority of the members here are easy to deal with.

Yes, I have done deals (buying, trading and selling) with quite a few members and my experiences have been extremely positive. In fact, I can't think of one deal that went wrong. Anyplace where deals are done there's always going to be a bad apple or two but from my experience they're in a very small minority here.
