Can anyone source or help me find a high-quality SCAN (not photo) of the original MIMP logo? i.e. the version where the bottom of the "S" in monster is positioned between "My" and "Pocket" (example images are below). Color scheme doesn't matter.

 

Ideally the scan would be taken from one of the posters, as obviously most of the figure boxes were too small to get a decent size scan.

 

Unfortunetely the images on google just aren't good enough quality, or they aren't scans. If all else fails I'll have to scan the back of comic 1 or 2, but a scan from a poster would be so much better.

 

Would really appreciate if anyone can help. Or even if someone has a poster for sale, then I can scan it myself.

I have the poster on right I can scan. But I believe there is a high quality logo floating around

Oh and I have a handful of the posters for sale to9

I'd greatly appreciate it if anybody has or knows where to find a hi-res image of 'The Original Monster In My Pocket' logo (blue with yellow writing, eyes peeping and claws)

I want it to be printed onto something, but the only one I can find is low quality, but the right logo:

U.S. 12-pack box, the logo is on the side.

 

The claws are cropped off to fit the packaging but this is the only version I have available to scan. And I just read that burty was wanting to print it onto something so not sure if it'll be to those standards with the crop but I'll do it anyway

Cool - it could work. I have a similar box, but it's sealed and I haven't got an overly great scanner anyways. If you don't mind giving it a shot at some point it might work. Like Chris said, I can't believe there aren't any decent MIMP logos available on the web. I'm wanting a MUSCLE mug and a MIMP mug - got a fantastic quality MUSCLE logo and jack all for the MIMP one.

Alright, I believe I have it finished up. It got a bit maddening trying to exactly match the moire pattern on the blue areas (especially where I removed elements) but I think it should be close enough unless you plan to print a wall poster or something. Enjoy everyone, but please do not use this for profit.

I mean, yeah I have the original scan but it's covered in the crease lines, scuffs, and other imperfections you can see in the first thumbnail. However I did preserve a layer before I started extracting the promo and taglines if that's what you're asking for? It has a bit less retouching in other areas though ssince I did a final overall pass before exporting.

Yes I mean the original scan with crease lines, scuffs etc. I always like to keep original scans of things as well as the retouched versions.

Also to contribute more to this thread, I just scanned the back of comic #2 in 600dpi incase it's of any use to anyone, although bachamn's image is probably better:

They look to be what I wanted from the pic, but I'll wait until they're in hand before fully making my judgement

Yeh you can't really judge them properly in that pic as the flash is a little harsh. Will be interesting to see a better photo when they arrive.

I must admit I was very tempted by an Alex Kidd In Miracle World mug I saw on ebay the other day. I loved that game when I was a kid and the guy did a great job on the mug design. But I resisted, since I've got loads of mugs already and I barely ever drink from a mug.

The trouble is, for many of 80s/90s franchises that we loved as kids, unless they're still popular in a modern form, there often isn't much high-quality merchandise available. I've found that a lot when I'm feeling nostalgic and go looking around on ebay. It's quite disappointing sometimes.
