I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I'm not the newest member in the world, but I'm certainly not the oldest either! I have however, been around long enough to really appreciate this site and the community within. And I don't want to take it for granted. A site like this ain't free. It probably represents countless hours of work... and I don't even pretend to know how much it cost to maintain. Plus, for a lot of us that occasionally sell stuff here - it represents a marketplace that it offered up to us for free. That's huge. I'm sure it's a labor of love for JKARIS and the rest of the board, but I want to make sure that we give back as much as we can. And I think I have a solution.
For those of you that aren't familiar with the concept (which I am sure most of you are), sites like LRG make a little bit of money every time we click through one of their adds or more importantly every time we buy something after clicking through any hyperlinks that are on the site.
For example, if someone makes a post that they saw an amazing deal on a Satan's Cross MUSCLE on Ebay, and then posted the hyperlink to said auction: LRG would make a few pennies and nickels on said purchase! All because someone took the time to click through the hyperlink that was posted. Conscious of this, anytime I go shopping on Ebay for the last few months, I try and FIRST click through a hyperlink off of LRG to the site. It's a little extra effort, but it makes me feel like I'm giving back - and it helps the site pay for itself. I get all warm and fuzzy.
But what if we ALL made a little extra effort to do the same?
The only problem I've had is that OCCASIONALLY, I have to dig to find an appropriate link to Ebay on an older post or thread. This isn't a big deal, BUT it can be a little inconvenient. What I would like to suggest is that create and affiliate link/ topic on LRG so that it is permanent and easy to find. Perhaps lock it at the top of one of the thread menus? Several months ago, JKARIS posted partnership with coupons.com, but the post quickly got buried and eventually not worth the effort to find.
Within the post I propose we have a LIST of the top 8 or 10 places we spend to our money or shop. Things like Ebay, Amazon, Best Buy, Target etc. All I ask of the LRG community is that the next time you shop online take a moment to click through LRG first, before you shop... and then go nuts! Those few pennies, nickels and dimes that LRG will make because you took the time to click lrg.com first can make a big difference over time.
I don't expect everyone to remember to do this every time they shop, but I know a few of us will and that can go a long way. SOOOOOOOO... below is my list of hyperlinks to sites where I think that most people shop online. LRG Board, please share your thoughts! AND other members, if there is a store or site that you go to a lot, by ALL means suggest it to be added to the list!! Cheers! ~ PF

Someone that sculpts, molds, and casts their own figures should post links to where they get their supplies along with product names. I know I would love that! (And then delete this comment so as to not bloat this thread)
GREAT IDEA!!! That would make a lot of sense with all the would-be toy and figure makers!

Clearly what Ironmask is trying to say -
"We need more Boba Fett figures with Billy Bob Thorton heads"

Randomly googling is a good way to find some of the worst porn you could ever imagine. I hope your safe search filter was on, homie!

I like mandalorian heads on figures, but it's really overused these days.I'm sensing some animosity towards lazy/unskilled toy makers.

Actually I really like Bigburty's Boba Head on a Sunshine Arch figure! Seriously!
And just to be clear... would really love to see some Bad Santa figures too. Or Sling Blade figures... maybe if they came with a side of fried protat'ers...

Yeah, no shit, right? Was a pretty fresh goof-off ten years ago, but sheeeeesh, man....
No disrespect to Morgan's stuff, I certainly enjoy the hell out of those Star Wars-like commercials. "You make me SICK, Jerkbag!" "Arghhh! I can't get ANY action!" LOL
I don't really do business with any of the sponsors (or whatever the term is), maybe I'll have to tuck a few fivers or some gift cards along with Johnny's Pop Rocks? 'My quarterly donation. Here's to meeting your fiscal goals and to another great term!'
Welcomed currency: Rubber Uglies, rubber monsters, jigglers, vinyl monsters, Arco monsters, Imperial monsters, fish cans....
