And if Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man isn't in the top ten, then this list is a joke!
I'd agree that Super Mario Bros. will probably be #1. Good call! Tetris will also probably be pretty high, maybe within the top 20.

but I feel they've done a mad good job so far, putting those obscure good games on there, as well as the mainstream titles.

Name: Adventure
Platform: Atari 2600
Developer: Atari
Publisher: Atari
Year Released: 1978
Why it Made the Top 100 List: A title that's full of firsts: the first graphical adventure (it was actually inspired by a text-based game of the same name), the first game to introduce objects players could pick up and move and the first Easter Egg in videogame history (hidden credits for the lead programmer/designer Warren Robinett). This early masterpiece on the 2600 was about a good a game as you can cram into 4k. While lacking by today's standards, Adventure was an amazing game for its time, and certainly influenced all action-adventure games from the King's Quest series to The Legend of Zelda.

Name: Wolfenstein 3-D
Platform: PC
Developer: id Software
Publisher: Activision, Apogee, GT Interactive
Year Released: 1992
Why it Made the Top 100 List: You know the shot heard round the world? You could consider Wolfenstein 3-D to be the gaming version of that. That first shot from BJ Blazkowitz fathered countless games over the years including a revisit to the castle nine years later. While it was preceded by its cousin Catacombs 3-D, Wolfenstein 3-D had a much greater impact on the industry and gamers making it one of the most influential games of all times. Along with its younger brother DOOM, Wolf 3-D popularized the 3D FPS, and started a new revolution in gaming.

I have not seen Doom or Unreal yet on that list. They must be closer to the top then , or they didn't make it.

I totally agree. Final Fantasy 3 and ChronoTrigger are definitely in my top 10 of favorite games (see avatar<<<). Magus Rules! CT better show up on there. Along with Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and Final Fantasy 7. I was also pissed that Metal Gear Solid wasn't higher up it was like #35 or so.i cant believe final fantasy 3 was #43. thats a damn travesty! thats one of the best RPG's on SNES with only Chrono Trigger right by its side. both should be in the top 10. and we all know super mario bros is going to be #1.

I let that go the first time, but now two of you say that? I haven't played kid icarus much, but mad people talk of how good it is. Excitebike, on the other hand, is definitely one of the greats. What other game of it's time had an option to make a custom track....or custom anything for that matter. Plus it was incredibly fun. It also incorporated overheating....again, an innovation....lastly...the music simply rocks, hahaKid Icarus and Excite Bike WTF?!??!?

Sorry I should've been more descriptive. Kid Icarus Is impossible (for myself anyway ) to beat. Excite bike was fun when It first came out. I was refering to Kid Icarus on the first post.I let that go the first time, but now two of you say that? I haven't played kid icarus much, but mad people talk of how good it is.
