I did, it was pretty easy once I made a jig to cut the cells. If you have a table saw you could do this in a day.
I saw one like it, but I think it was the exact way the poster was which is cool, but I wanted the layout a little different.

That is amazing. I had a the similar idea of doing one up like the poster. But time, money, and patients is against me.

Wow I was playing with the idea of getting a nail polish shelf like this for my MIMPs. But you have raised the bar.

That's also a great idea. I might have to steal it. (the idea, not the cases)

Right on! Looks great. I have one in the works very similar to this. As you were saying it has the same layout as the poster. I'm working on the glass door for it to cut down on the dusting. The door aside, I have to agree that the jig was the only issue. Once that's done you can fly through it.
Yeah, Glass is the next thing for this, I think I'm going to get some angle aluminum to make a frame and pretty much seal it up. I cant decide on glass or plexi though.
@Tommyfilth
What did you use as the finish on this, man?
I have considered making something similar myself, but was curious as to how different paint/finishes might affect the different plastics of various figures over time.
Don't want any staining/melt issues.
This is flat latex, I did probably rush putting them in a bit as latex takes at least a couple of days to completely set, but once it's dry it shouldn't be a problem. I would think if you're worried about it a polyuerthane once completely set would be a very good boundary against bleed. It's all about making sure the finish is cured well before making contact.
That is excellent, comfortably the best one I've seen.
Thank you very much.

If anyone really has an interest in making one I could write up a little bit about it. the "cell" size is 2"x2"x1.25" deep that would fit the sunshine top front to back easily and nothing else was deeper than him. a couple of the figs do hit the side walls but not so much that I'm worried about deformation.

That would be great if you could write up a bit about it. Sizes etc...?
Amazing work. I'm hoping my dad will be able to make one as he's handy at woodwork.
When you say flat latex? Is that something that you just paint on over the wood?
Thanks
Deano
