The question for this tournament is, "Which is the overall better figure?"

Note: This tournament features many different types of figures, please consider the entirety of a figure (sculpt, detailing, materials, originality, etc.) when voting. Additionally we ask for understanding with the lack of consistent pictures. Do not dismiss a figure because of a poor picture. Please feel free to post a better picture of the figure you selected.

Although the Air/Fossil Gormiti are my least favorite, Megatron is honestly kind of bland. And Megatron shouldn't be bland.

Megatron gets my vote - I like his stance. Something about how is legs are spaced is quite cool. I do like the translucent look, although it looks as if some of the detail could be obscured.

The Gormiti is not a figure i am too taken with to be honest. Although a sort of bird with Spider like appendiges is kewl, i just dont like the orb things he has in his hands :D i would rather it was just his talons with nothing held in them, or maybe one orb. They went overboard with the orbs.

I vote for Megatron.

Very evenly matched opponents IMO......

The Gormiti figure is impressive. In fact i can imagine it being a bio engineered decepticon. It has that menacing evil minion look to it . I dont know exactly what the sculptor was shooting for with the smooth orbs in the hand but if one were to paint the orbs some bright color as if energy was manifesting (weapons) or even painted them to look like planets i.e. the Gormiti has plans of world conquest , the figure would jump another notch in my book.

Megatron may have the better weapon but outside of the arm cannon he has an awkward head sculpt. If you contrast this megatron with another megatron mini figure like Transformers History Collection Megatron (Takara) you can see that it doesnt have to be this way simply because the figure is small. Its simply a blown opportunity by the sculptor.

Generally i vote for humanoid robots with armor , etc. This time ...Megatron leaves me wanting.

Gormiti with a left hook,

i don't remember megatron's boobs being that big. this little clear blue megatron has got a huge top rack. that being said, devil fenix is a favorite of mine. i'm certain i'd rather play with it than the little megatron. i love megatron, but he's going up against a great figure. i think articulationnut is right. this could have been a much cooler representation of megatron.

Three things I need to add.

One, Megatron's figure is based on the G2 tank Megatron, not the G1 gun.

http://tfwiki.net/wi...ys#Generation_2

Two, the character in question isn't really even Megatron! It's Megastorm.

http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Megastorm

Three, there was no way I could NOT vote for Devilfenix! It's not just that he's the leader of the Fossil Tribe. He's an incredible sculpt in person, ferocious, commanding in presence while towering over others, and just plain evil. The orbs are silly, but easily offset by everything else. I'd have voted for Megastorm if he was up against certain other Gormiti, but certainly not one as awesome as Devilfenix.

And for those of you interested, the Fossil Devilfenix has never been repainted. Here is his original Air form however.

eff yeah, Boaconda! Drop that TF knowledge like it's hot!

I'm pretty torn. Gormiti is cool, Megastorm is cool. From that picture, Megastorm looks like it may have some flaws in its design that give the Gormiti the advantage. But I'm still not sure which way to swing.

Hmmm...:) While i did know the blue tank Megs' wasnt based upon the G1 gun megs (i only referenced the G1 Megs to show that regardless of scale a tighter sculpt can be achieved for a megatron figure) i *didnt* know about this Megastorm. And upon reading the links provided Megastorm is only a redeco of G2 Megatron which makes this a fair representation of Megs right? Or did Megastorms figure have a bigger head than the normal G2 Megatron making the enlarged head sculpt appropriate (or at least less of an issue for me lol)?

Can you feel the dorkiness oozing from my post LMAO!?

My comments had nothing to do with your post, and everything to do with correcting the name used for the figure - it's from a Beast Wars 2 set, so it's supposed to be Megastorm - and just clarifying any other possible identity issues, like the reason for the roboboobs.

Megastorm wasn't remolded from G2 Megs, and the head's enlarged only because of the superdeformed sculpt. If there was some goofy expression on his face though, it would definitely be because of the BW2 cartoon, and not any fault of G2 Megatron. As-is, whether or not this figure represents G2 Megatron is up to personal choice, but it certainly wasn't the intention.

I voted for the Gormiti this time. I am not a big fan of that particular sculpt, but it is still a nice heavy piece. The megs is a lame sculpt and a lightweight comparatively.

Devilfenix by default.

roboboobs needs to be listed in the urban dictionary :)

I voted for Devilfenix, as a sort of nostalgic backlash because I thought I was only voting for the TF because I don't know a thing about Gormiti.
I asked my mom though and she would have voted for the TF. From now on I'm going to ask a non intrested third party to settle any ties of two figures I don't care about comes up.
