I'm guessing a private sale? The "auction" only lasted a couple of hours. Unless I'm missing something. Like when did the auction actually start?

I PMed the seller and they said they took the offer. I'm guessing they're not in the hobby and was just selling what they probably had/found.

It was an auction with a make an offer option. I made an offer. Received a counter offer. Accepted and paid. Pretty straight forward. Hopefully it gets delivered without issue. Just good timing is all.

Wow, everything moves so fast! I check the eBay listings every day and that's clearly not enough.

 

I'm jealous, BHS is the only heavy duty M.U.S.C.L.E. I'd go after. Glad it went to a collector.

 

Echoing another's curiosity, when did that auction go up? I never even saw it.

I'm not sure when the auction/make-an-offer started but I submitted a Make an Offer amount at 3:39 pm EST

We will see on that.  There was, according to the seller, contact made by other potential buyers.  The seller has asked me twice to consider allowing them to relist as they did not realize what they had.  So someone has been working behind the scenes.  It would be nice if that weren't the case, but we will see.  I hope that the seller honors the deal and their word.

I'll say that I'm someone who PMed the seller. It was to see what kind of sale it was. He told me that there are a few people contacting him and asking to not honor the sale and relisting. I told him that it'd be best if he did in fact honor what he already accepted. 

 

I hope the seller honors the sale. It's good to know that it was a LRG member who got it for a steal and not someone who's going to flip it.

This is got to be the most messed up story yet. Zero has got to be the most giving, honest, selfless person on here.
If someone has the seller cancel the sale that f'd up.

And it is refunded.  The seller decided that the 3 or 4 people who backdoored this deal was the right way to go I guess.  I have to say that I am disappointed to say the least.  Let me ask, what do you think is going to happen when you contact the seller on an item that you know has not shipped to the winner and ask a bunch of questions, or worse yet make offers that are outside of the actual auction/make-an-offer.  I have never done this, and respect winning parties even if I really wanted the item.  I paid a fair price and made an appropriate purchase.  This community is super small, 4 people contacted this seller. 4.  Please see attachments.

It won't be re-listed. The seller is going to sell it outside of eBay to the a hole that backdoored zero. Whoever it is, is a piece of s***. And the seller is a spineless greedy scumbag

Well that sucks and I'm sorry to hear that. As someone that has run an eBay business I totally see the other side to this in dealing with shitty people that will rip you off, but it looks like you paid a fair price for a toy that a day before the guy probably thought was worth 50 cents. I'm not accusing you of ripping the seller off at all. You really stepped up offering that kind of money. If it's any consolation, the shady person that talked this guy into going off eBay is probably the same kind of shady that will try ripping the seller off too. Good luck to the seller. If you're reading this enjoy the brick you get back in the mail for the PayPal return the buyer forces on you by saying the item didn't arrive as described. Just a word of advice, PayPal won't do shit when you get ripped off. Been there and done that.
