That is a good question. What do you guys think? Can a Customs Challenge entry be entered as a Fan Art entry, when the media type is open?Sorry for being slow, but does this mean we could enter the mash-ups w/ our PL entry and compete in both contests w/ the same fig?

This one was fun, so hopefully I'll get a chance to do a more entries with a Thundercats theme.

That's awesome and all, but now i have to come up with a new idea for the Pirate Lion custom contest. And i spent so much time digging through my castoff accessory stockpile for something to cut into a small Sword of Omens.

Just noticed this. The entries for both are due the 30th, with voting for the Pirate Lion contest taking place a bit after that. And since names go on the FAC entries, with the Pirate Lion contest entries being kept secret till after the voting, i'd think this would create a conflict. But that's just my opinion, of course. Your mileage may vary.

You should totally enter a Pirate Lion-O into the custom contest! It's not really all that repetitive since I'm just doing the FAC. Besides, if you had submitted your Pirate Lion-O first, it certainly wouldn't have stopped me from submitting this piece.
Although I know it's a real kick in the groin seeing someone else with the same idea submit their FAC entry first.

Yeah, you're right. That hadn't dawned on me when I made the post. Probably for the best, doesn't seem quite fair to enter 2 diff contests with the same entry. The early posts in this thread had my wheels spinning a little too quick.
On another note: Pirate Lion-O kicks absolute ass! This is going to be a great month for fanart/ customs contests!

Wow, this late in the challenge, and I'm only the second entry?
My mash-up is Pi-lion with a munny diy vinyl. About 2 hours freehand with oil and poster paint markers.

I haven't done anything yet because after two custom contests and four commissions i am burnt the hell out on Pirate Lion.
I'll get to it though, i'm just not exactly diving in enthusiastically on this one.

Alright I am away from my computer so I had to splice this scan back on a strange computer, plus I haven't drawn anything in years.... and then I colored with whatever I could scrounge up @ sister-in-law's going through the kids stuff.....
So anyways didn't think I was going to get anything done while on vacation but here goes a nice improv tyke doodle for my entry. If we make it back home before deadline I might get up a better scan otherwise heeeereyago!

that's awesome l.designs. and the scan seems fine. the coloring also looks pretty good. especially if you had to macguyver that shizznit with what you could find in enemy territory.

Nate, that is an awesome entry. I haven't voted for one of your entries in awhile despite the higher than a hippie in a helicopter qualilty of everything I've seen but this might be the one that gets my vote back to you. It's certainly the one I'm going to use as a measuring stick for all other entries.
