Well lets give thanks that Veers does not have to explain how urber-rare relates to super rare, rare, common, and my own saying 1 of a kind!

I'm telling you, eventually the BHS with the peg attached, will become thew rarest of all super rares and 1 of a kinds. Because once (due to tragic accidents) there is only one remaining BHS with peg attached, the risk of the peg falling off will always be present. And Fragile does raise the value of items. China for example!

i am going to guess at least $500. i still think that is too high for a super rare but hey, i'm not the one shelling out the dough for it. i was pleasantly surprised to see that alex got burned. serves him right and it made my whole day.

Response from seller:

It is exactly the same type of rubber as the rest of the muscles in the box (see other auction), kinda bend-y. I have had all these since I was a kid in the mid-80s.

Here is his other auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item439c4a5f3e

Asked about where and what pack it was bought in:

Sorry, have no idea, I think I played with these when I was about 10-12 years old, have no idea what kinda pack I bought this in. Sorry

I don't think he will go for more than around $300. BHS is starting to get pretty common these days.

pretty common huh? then can i have "one of yours"? lol :p

smoking gun is right as super rares usually go for around $1000. personally i think that is ridiculously over priced. jkaris does have a valid point. more and more of bhs are showing up all the time. i still think around $500 is not unreasonable considering how bid-happy nutso lrg members can be for a super rare. ;) plus there is moneybags douchenozzle alex who seems to have unlimited funds when it comes to snapping up super rares so others can't have them. don't be surprised if a: the item suddenly disappears as the auction is ended early because of private buyout (notorious alex move) or b: last minute snipe bid of said outrageous price by the same douchenozzle mentioned above.

I agree with Johnny, I doubt it will go for over $300. Usually the only time they go much over that is when said douchenozzle is trying to win one, trying to bid solely for keeping others he dont like from winning one, or when it is one of his own bullshizznit auctions under one of his hundred accounts trying to shill that bee-eye-itch up to where he "thinks" sr's are worth. He has about a dozen BHS so for him to pay much more than $300 for one other than to eff someone else out of having one is just insane though. Not to mention, as far as muscles go, this one looks a little beat up, stained rough around the edges. The fact that the auction is still up and there is only one day left tells me two things, he either tried an early buy out and for once the ebayer was honest and told him to go fly a kite, or he is somehow involved in this auction. Everytime a SR or somethign special comes up and he is not a bidder, he is usally somehow connected to the seller or is the seller (ie the SC four pack that belonged to Balucard) Alex-"I might bid on this, I dont know" haha, I love when he used to promote his own phony auctions.

In a perfect world, we could bod worry free on SR's and not get bent over, and we could watch these SR auctions with excitement rather than doubtfull like we used to. I miss that world, and sadly many of you new collectors never got to be a part of that fun time in muscle collecting history. The hobby has forever been tainted by a couple greedy effs that ruined it for everyone for generations to come. I miss the good'ol days.

there is one way to be free of the super-rare nonsense. don't strive to acquire them. when i first started collecting i got all horny for the super rares and would spend hours every day scanning every muscle auction i could find in hopes of finding one. after a while i decided that the price they go for, even if it was as low as $100, is too high for a piece of plastic.

it's like that simpsons treehouse of horror when all the advertising characters came to life and started destroying springfield. the trick to getting rid of them was to ignore them. once the demand goes away, so will the insane prices.

:) Amen. You can have a Kin replacement for about 1/50 of the cost.

Plus, who cares? At best, you can tell other internet nerds you have a "Super Rare."

well i think it's stupid to pay hundreds of dollars for it without the peg. i'd prefer to wait and spend the extra hundred on getting one with the peg attached. of course, i wouldn't buy one either way because it wouldn't hold its value, haha unless i made a bhs from gold! then i'd spend $400! this auction reminds me of my favorite part of any toy website ever, haha - from nathan's site...

Misc. M.U.S.C.L.E. Info Q: Is a M.U.S.C.L.E. collection a good investment?

A: No. But that's okay, no collectible is a good investment. I've collected many things over the past 15 years (comics, cards, toys, etc.), and they all follow the same market trend. At first nobody knows about the collectible, and the prices are reasonable. As more people think it's "cool", the prices rise. Eventually, everyone loses interest for whatever reason, and the prices level off briefly, then plummet back to the original market value.

Anyone who thinks that toys are good investments has not been collecting for very long. Veteran collectors will remember old lines that were "super-collectible" and "great investments" when they were first released but are now essentially worthless, like Playmates Star Trek and POTF2 Star Wars. This is because toys (or any other collectible for that matter) have no real value. They are only worth what someone else is willing to pay for them.

Not only do toys make poor investments because the market is extremely volatile and guaranteed to crash, but also because you have to maintain your toy inventory, which can be very cumbersome for large collections. So, I recommend that you collect because you enjoy collecting, not for investment purposes. If you want to invest in something, for God's sake, man... get some stocks like all the other grown-ups.
