Bought both sets, an egg, and an extra set of Solar Storm because I think that's my favorite color released so far.

Uh, I guess I am the only one not in Club Mordle. So the new ones are green and magenta, then? Curious to see them.

I got 3 sets.  Bought an additional Rampage group cuz that is my favorite version so far.  Plus, no mordles were ever before released in this color.  Which I always found peculiar.  Wouldn't some mordles naturally be green, clammy, and slimey?!!  Also got a gitd manglor egg cuz I'm a sucker for nearly anything gitd.  Really digging these mordles figs.  They're making me forget about all pursuits of the originals.

I'm with Phantomeye, and I have a set of the originals! As I've mentioned before, the repros with the toenails painted actually look more legit than the originals! :o

While I love the new releases, I still can't stop collecting the originals. I planned on quitting once I acquired all 10, but once I learned there are slight color variations a couple of weeks ago, I'm now up to 14. I may need an intervention soon!

And you may need a mortgage considering the current prices. I understand your compulsion. I went through mine years ago. I have 2 complete mordles sets plus extras but I acquired those at roughly $8/piece. The value exploded shortly after my last set and I have only come across a few since then in random lots. These repros are exactly what I need to satisfy my mordles fascination. I concur with Soups, these repros seem to be better in appearance with sharper paint apps and highlighted claws. All sprue blemishes have been cleared too.

No doubt. In the last year and a half, I've see eBay prices go from roughly $15-$20 a figure (when I acquired a lot of my collection) to averaging around $50 now. I'm also a perfectionist, too. If one of my mordles has paint issues or scuffs, I have to replace it with a near perfect one.

I understand completely.  It is an affliction...  However, I have come to appreciate some defects.  I have some Masters of the Universe gumball figures and one skeletor has a massive cave-in on one side of his face.  I find it cool because my imagination just tells me that's where He-man buried his battle axe in combat!

The factory really nailed the paint applications on these guys.

One of my concerns as a collector was to make them as great as they can be. Get the old copyright info off of there, get those nails painted, clean up the sprue bits if possible (which the factory, in conjunction with Matt from Onell Design, really did well).

I can't wait until you guys get the Solar Storm and Rampaging Editions in-hand. My pics barely do justice to the actual colors of these toys.

Seeing the photos on the blog, I am VERY excited about these colors. They're going to be a must-buy for me. I hope there are enough different colors released so that we can make a set consisting of each sculpt in a different color.

Turns out Manglor eggs are the perfect storage container for Mordles. DoctorKent, will you continue to sell the eggs separately, or is it pretty much "buy 'em now, you won't see them alone again"?

It would be convenient though to have a link to the Toyfinity blog from the main Toyfinity site. I don't believe I knew it existed until now. :)

I wonder if the new Mordles are going to affect the market of the originals. Not that I care. I hadn't even heard of them before Toyfinity and collect the new ones because I like them. I have zero interest in either the original rocks and bugs or original Mordles. I think Doc Kent's little army of rubber monsters is just dandy.

I wasnt aware of them either until I posted the Rockadile figure from my childhood on the ID boards here. I tried to pick up a Mordle for him since the original was long lost but they were so pricey and scarce. A month later I found out about the new Mordles so the timing was ideal for me. :)

I'm hoping we can do that many colors - and beyond!

As I've said from the beginning, my business model is not built around immediate sell-through. Would be great if it happened! But not necessary.

So the eggs - I'll probably have them up all the time until supplies are exhausted. There will be sets where the egg is part of the product - when there are GITD Mordles, they'd be even more fantastic with a GITD egg!

Love the new colors, they look great! Definitely going to be picking up the green set!

It would be convenient though to have a link to the Toyfinity blog from the main Toyfinity site. I don't believe I knew it existed until now. :)

I thought I had linked it on the main part of the site. Ah, it is the main news story. Gotta get my guy on the phone and get the link added into the bar!
