Also, are you sure that the sattelite guy shouldn't be "Sputnick", after the Russian sattelite? I remeber the original translation for his name was "Sportnick" or something.

Yu Yu Hakusho (another manga from Viz I happen to like) is coming out 4-6 months apart, while UM is like 2 months.

I've been following the current manga in playboy jump here on the forum but I have to ask whats with the manga going on in V-Jump? I know the one if pb jump is more adult oriented and is the one with the time-traveling tag tournament but whats with the V-Jump, its for younger people, right? Does the story build off of the pb one? Or does it pick up somewhere else, maybe like alternate stories? I really curious about this.

From what I've seen, I think it's an alternate storyline, for kids, mith different and more villians as well as the current cast, and 20% more Dik Dik! That's all I know.

Did it start the story over (from like the Hercules Factory) or did it just pick up somewhere in the story? Idk but personally I'm not big on trying to do two stories with the same characters for two different audiences (unless the characters are different, think about it Terry the Girl Kenyon and Rinko is a biker, now that would be a heck of a story...lol). It just seems like a lot of trouble, what book would the first Kinnikuman story been put in? It had its violent moments but Idk about Playboy Jump but no where near light enough for V-Jump. Or am I way off?

I personally think this follows the Demon Seed Saga. Because they finished that saga back in 03-04.

I'd think so, as a preview in S-manga shows the first few pages of the graphic Novel, it starts out with a page talking about Kinnikuman, then talks about the invasion of the dMp, with Terry, Wally, Dik Dik and Meat opposing Puripruiman/ Msr. Cheeks, the Mantaro comes down from a crash landed spaceship (whom Meat wasn't expecting) then he examines his face like in their first meeting.
I'd say more for kids, as in it doesn't have some of the older audience jokes and stuff, and perhaps a bit of violence. Either way, I'm not the guy who should be answering this, as I don't know as much as most of you.

i think only, the 20 Million (Mongolman+Buffaloman), The Machine Guns, and the New Kinniku Brothers have a chance with Neptune
ohh, and of coz, the bosses Lighting+Thunder sure can take them down too
and maybe the Teddies too

Jade and Scarface r just not good enough, as for both power and experience

I was wondering if Viz would be bringing over both Ultimate Muscle versions. Does anyone know if Vol. 1-11 of the manga over here are from V-Jump?

I have to agree with devil about who has the power to knock off Neptuneman and Wally. I think it comes down to either 20 Million, Machine Guns or the Kinniku Bros.

you guys might be right on Jade and Mars, but I hope to all that is holy that thunder and lighting or the teddies are not the one to bring Neptuneman and seiechin down. That would the stupidest thing ever. Two fairly popular characters beaten by two new and (IMO) silly characters. its just now right. If it has to be anyone make it any of the Kinniku clan, the 2 Million Manpower team or as I said before Jade and Mars, any of those teams would be cool to see them take Nep and Sei down. And any team that loses to them would be a sweet fight still.

That's just it isn't it? I believe that Thunder and Lightning are the main villians, and Neptune and Seiuchin are the second villians, like Ashuraman and Sunshine were to Budo and Neptune in the first series (with the teddies being... gag villians? Or something? Honestly, I have no freakin' idea about those teddies O_o). For Neptune and Seiuchin to lose against Thunder and Lightning, that would just prove how strong those two are, and how they have to be beaten.

P.S. For those matches, does anyone have any idea in what way 9-12 is happening? Is it going to be 9 vs 10 and 11 vs 12, or like so: with the winner of 1 vs 2 going against 9 and so forth? (Personally, I hope its the second, because omfg, Kinnikuman and Terryman vs Chaos and Mantaro? *dies*)

2nd round:
1 vs 9 -> 1

3rd round:
1 vs 10 -> 10

yep, Terry The Kid+Robin shouldn't be good enough to take down 20 Millions
but then Buffaloman dun have any horns now, this will for sure decrease their powers
plus, Robin has a very big role in this tournament
he gotta save Kevin(although i think he won't success, and end up Mantaro will save Kevin)
so Robin won't lose until they face Thunder and Lighting~

i agree that Jade and Scarface r the most popular in IIsei, but just in IIsei..
now is back to the 1980s, the timeline which the Isei legends rules
along with the Isei chojin, Jade and Scarface for sure won't be the most popular

checkmate is popular too, and everyone think he can finally have some more matches and appearance, now look at what he end up

as for Neptune, he has the MOST experience in this whole tournament
so far, he's the only one who go through both Isei and IIsei
i dun think he'll lose to these 2 kids

but robin is never weak, and he's saving his son~~

and about "make-up" chojin, a lot of great chojins were make-up chojins at first too
