Mortal Kombat: Rebirth is a 2010 action short film directed by Kevin Tancharoen with fight choreography by Larnell Stovall who also choreographed the recent Undisputed III: Redemption. Based on the Mortal Kombat series of fighting games, the short-film "actually was made by the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film."

I've watched that many times. I wish they would do a movie like that. How all the fighters are depicted is awesome, especially Scorpion. I like how he says: "You know I turned myself in, and you should know I can leave whenever I want." Right after that his chains come off without anyone helping him. At the very end you see his eyes are rolled back. Pretty neat too how Reptile just rips off a head and sticks it in the fridge. The story of Baraka doesn't flow with the game, but it's still awesome.
I read something about how this clip was made. I believe it only cost $5000 because the director contacted a lot of his friends.

hi! yea i saw somewhere they are filming it anyway and releasing it to dvd. honestly its too violent and gory for me. i do have friends though that are fans of Mortal Kombat. i did like the MK Trilogy and the first 2 movies though. your screen name makes me think of this time i went to a racing park and they had a bunch of corvettes there. their was this one special group that only fixed corvettes. they were called the, "Vette Doctors." ok bye-bye!
