yeah, looking at that hulk is the closest i've ever come to being turned on by a man.

Klaw was Pretty Cool, he reuses the Black Costume Spidey body, which in my opinion is a decent body type, and I thought it fit perfectly for the character. Other than a few sloppy paint apps here and there I had no trouble. However Cap was a different story completely! All of his joints were fine except his Shoulder Ball Hinge and the Upper Arm Swivel. The SB-Hinge was completely STUCK, in the position were his arm positioned straight out from his side. However they just jammed him in the packaging anyway. Bending up the UA-Swivel peg, warping it. So first I tried the Hot Tap Water method to try and bend the peg back into place, and get that Ball hinge to move. I got the peg straight enough, but it's pretty loose on that swivel, but I couldn't get the hinge to break free for my life. I had to wedge a small exacto knife into the crevices around the edges of the plastic hinge to try and pry it, maybe there was some glue or paint in there for some reason. I got it a tiny bit loose, and then basically had to wrench it back and forth as hard as I could without breaking either peg on the inner chest or upper arm. Eventually I got it loose. That was like a 15 minute mess.
The stickage didn't stop there, and I had to pretty much Heat up something on three of the remaining 4 to break joints loose. Wolverines Foot Swivels and Wrist Swivels were all stuck, so I had to heat up his wrists and pop off the hands, then ran the parts under a cold tap, and popped them back on, then twisted them back and forth till I was satisfied that they wouldn't get restuck (My Dark Spidey variant had this problem, had to heat and pop his hands twice already), and then broke loose his feet as well using the same heat and cool method. Again I loved both the figures in this pack! Torch was great, and a color variant I was looking forward too, especially with the new head sculpt which is way better. He had some small yellow spots of paint on his face though.
Thuderball is the Bees Knees! Both of his Upper Arm Swivels were stuck, but a quick heat method broke them loose without any trouble. Really they get way too carried away with the paint washes, and seem to get more inside the joints than on the figures themselves...if they just stopped doing that all these guys would be fine. Spidey is okay, it is a great body type and figure, but you have seen one spidey you have seen em all. Both his wrists were stuck so again, Heat, Pop, Cool, Pop, Twist... One of his Foot Hinges were stuck too. He is a lighter red and blue than the Wave 1 Spidey...I just wonder what kind of difference there will be with the 3 pack spidey. Hope that is the last standard colored spidey we get stuck with for a while.
Lot of Quality issues with these packs...I just hope they aren't that bad with the future packs. This crap is too expensive to be breaking. And too popular to be so sloppy. Some major let downs, but They are still the shizznit. Oh! And like Scummy, all my comics were all bent up on the bottom. Who packs this crap? I want to know how the heck they squeeze all these figures in so tight without breaking them as well!

Speaking of wave 4, i finally saw it again today. Well except Moon Knight and Red Hulk. I picked up Union Jack because he's the only one i passed on the first time, and the more i looked at the figure online the more i liked it.

And Scum, Jack is probably my favorite figure right now with the DareDevil Body type. Probably because his paint apps are so clean. But I'm kind of glad to have him, cause he gets to chill out with my Invaders team when I get them.
Oh and my BW Cap shipped today!
***Edit Also a quick edit to my earlier post about my SW's figures. The Spidey is a Lighter red, but Darker Blue than the Wave 1 Spidey.

Than I found another half aisle of action figures with Secret Wars figures hooray.
How many action figure aisle do your targets have. I thought it weird that there was such a diffrence between the two.

I went to the closer Target, nada, so I drove to the Target across town and I couldn't even find Marvel Universe pegs, nothing.

There are 6 Targets within 20 minutes of my house, and in the past few days they've ALL added the additional half aisle of action figures

It looks nice, and i wanted to get it pretty badly. Especially with my desire to own all the Iron Man figures from this line. But at $30 for three characters i already have, i just couldn't pull the trigger. Still on the lookout for the other two packs though, there wasn't even a shelf tag for those yet.

i really like the packaging. that's one of the main reasons i'm thinking about getting a second set. very simple design, no too flashy. but everything about it is aces. even the magnet inclusion is great. totally lends itself to displaying. if i had any gripes it would be namor's slightly too heavy wash and red skull's eyes. i would have preferred something a little more menacing. like the package art for him has the dark sockets with burning white pupils. very cool. and why doesn't he have a german officer's hat. that'd been the maraschino cherry on the fantastic banana split that is this set. i think the biggest surprise is how much i love the human torch though. again, a simple design that completely carries it off.

When I first started collecting this line a few moths ago I didn't really care for the Human Torch figures, but with each release of a new Torch I love them more as a group! I'm especially happy they have been using newer head sculpts on the latest few. I really am anxious about finding those 3 packs so I can get my animated Torch.
What sucks with 5000+ characters, even if they made 50 new characters a year it would take 100+ years to reach the character point Marvel is at right now.
I want to at least be able to take a figure shot to look like this.

I had no problems with any of them as far as paint. I liked Namor's wash myself though. And the blued hair details were really cool. I think where his feet met his ankle was kind of goofy looking though, They should have tooled down the ankle part of the lower leg for a more streamlined appearance, but that's just me.

AAAHHH we need a complete Invaders roster Hasbro!
New and original... I wish I could invade Hasbro's Marvel team and make them make every single Marvel character ever made! MUWAHAHAHAHA!!
What sucks with 5000+ characters, even if they made 50 new characters a year it would take 100+ years to reach the character point Marvel is at right now.And with inflation and the current price mark you know if we could afford, and even lived that long we would have invested over $50,000 bucks into the line. Okay, I think I just hit an insanity point...

Haha, good luck, if they were going to even attempt to make figures for 5000+ unique characters that means we would have at least 3000+ new spidey/hulk/iron man/human torch sculpts to accompany them!!

B&W Cap should not a figure to worry about too much if you never get it from HTS, because it's hard to scalp a ten-dollar figure available in rather plentiful numbers. eBay's proving as much right now despite some of the jokers with $40 BINs.
