I must have that panel made into an avatar. I can't do it however, so anyone willing to do my request?

Ugh, I don't know anything abot Jojo. To make up for it, here's a homoerotic moment from the Nisei anime.

You must read Jojo. It is amazing. (Although I've only read half of series 3)

... Jesus, does anyone else think Bibimba's crying look like her eyes are GUSHING? That doesn't even look remotely realistic. Then again, this is Kinnikuman. =/

JJBA is indeed good. Part 6 was a bit of a let-down in terms of the antagonists, but Steel Ball Run is a nice return to the spirit of part 3.

I know this might be impossible, but I think in the end, what would most likely happen is that either Mantaro/Chaos or Kinnikuman/Terryman win the tournament, the Five Disasters get defeated, and in order to make sure it doesn't happen or mess up history even further, they would defeat Thunder & Lightning and prevent them from going back in time to kill Robin Mask in the past.

But hey, I could be wrong. Just throwing in my two cents.

Uh, no. The impossible is always possible in Shounen manga.

In Kinnikuman's case, impossiblity was the victim of hit and run. No one was charged.

It's my birthday and I'm sick AND Mari is endangering the future of Kinnikuman, Bibinba, and our not-so-beloved protagonist! Kinnikuman, tell her to go away please. ;_;

I hope I get a present or something. The homoeroticism was nice though, thanks Matto.

That will not happen.

The problem with the plot NOW is that Yude suddenly realized that Kinnikuman Nisei: Time Retcon Tournament Fighting Monkey Love has a big female audience... in JAPAN. They don't give a crap if the plot hurts our heads over here, they just want Mari to be her useless self and ruin the future for our personality-ridden protagonist.

Better just stick with Hiromu Arakawa and Yakitate!! Japan.

I'm really getting tired of all of this annoying Mari crap. Kinnikuman is not about Soap Operas. It is about crazy and unique wrestling matches along with intriguing stories to accompany them. I have no idea why Yudetamago is deviating from this formula, but all I can say is that this story arc has really been going downhill. As a matter of fact, I think Kinnikuman just hasn't been as good since Nisei started. The pinnacle of the series for me has been, and always will be, the first generation. The first generation of Kinnikuman was classic shounen material at its finest. All of the legends were such a likable cast, in the sense that there was always a character or a multitude of characters the fans loved, each story arc had a great plot with lots of interesting villains, and the climaxes of each arc presented the heroes with such insurmountable odds that would keep the reader in much suspense. Moreover, it set the bar for a lot of other renown shounen comics that would be soon to follow, and for that reason it is considered to be a venerable series. Why can't this series replicate the same magic? I'm starting to really doubt if Yudetamago will ever be able to achieve the same greatness their first series had.

It's because they're trying to write a story for more mature readers, but they're failing horribly. From what little I've read of the V-Jump series, it's actually a lot closer to G1. (and a lot better than this junk, despite the fact that everyone hates it for no reason)

It's because they're trying to write a story for more mature readers, but they're failing horribly.

Yude forgot to test the Nisei manga for fun factors when they decided on doing it. It's pretty much evident from Volume 1 onward.

From what little I've read of the V-Jump series, it's actually a lot closer to G1. (and a lot better than this junk, despite the fact that everyone hates it for no reason)

It's pure B-grade fun, just like the anime. It's narritive kind of sucks though, because Yude thought kids wouldn't have plot understanding. Which is slightly ironic considering V-Jump is a 'effing GAME MAGAZINE for all ages to read. And Shounen Jump has a wide varity of manga to appeal to different tastes.

MOTH'S LOGIC:

Mari's purpose was only to boost Suguru's confidence in his adventures, he was never really supposed to be with her because that's not good for him in the end, especially now.

Just like caffeine. It's only supposed to give you that little boost of awakening in the mornings. It's not supposed to b your primary drink. In the end, you'll wind up with a kidney infection/failure.

Mari's killing the Suguru-kidney. D:

As long as it doesn't hit a level of angst similar to Twilight, then I think we'll be okay.

By god that series is carp. Not even good carp, like Magikarp that have the potential to be Garydos. Just bad carp that needs to die.

At this point, I'm not sure that even going back to the action will fix what has been broken. Damnit Yude, what the heck happened to all of the quirky characters and quirky comedy? Did they die or something?

Dai: Replace Edward Cullen with Dio Brando. He drops a steamroller on Bella after the first chapter. The end.

Matto: Well, I would if I weren't too lazy. Also...Bibinba is crying so hard, it has caused her to go all cross-eyed.

Indeed a worthwhile tactic. And when I start making parody fics once my utterly, utterly long original fiction Dichotomy Trilogy is complete, I plan on doing that.
