At this point, I'm not sure that even going back to the action will fix what has been broken. Damnit Yude, what the heck happened to all of the quirky characters and quirky comedy? Did they die or something?

This is what some people call "growing up".

You don't have the same ideals as a teenager when you become a young adult. In fact, you see things differently. Yude went through this exact same process, but this is what made Nisei not as popular as Kinnikuman. Why? It's a series that takes itself too damn seriously, and putting it in Weekly Playboy doesn't help alot of matters.

There is a difference between growing up and making a huge mess out of things. Yudetamago has done the latter. In this case, the series would've been better off not growing up at all.

Quite a tragedy the anime ended up failing, even though it had 51 episodes in it's first run.

Funny how it ended up failing despite the fact that it adhered to its manga counterpart a lot more closely than the first anime series. I guess that is a testament to it simply not being as good as its predecessor.

Correction, the anime was just as good as the G1 series in all it's B-grade unintentional homoerotic glory.

Then again, my opinion won't matter since I mostly talk out of my ass 99% of the time.

I think the order goes: G1 manga > G1 anime = Nisei anime > Nisei manga. LOLMYOPINIONS.

Well, can't argue with ya there. So far, from what I've read of the G1 manga, it has proved to be far more fun to read than this melodramatic mess.

Srsly, when are we going to get to the actual fighting?

I concur. What Yudetamago is giving us right now is not Kinnikuman, it is a lame soap opera with a convoluted plot. It is an incoherent mess.

As for when we will actually get to the fighting, I am wondering the same thing my friend. I want to see what Neptuneman's ulterior motive really is and who will be the next victim of his deadly cross bomber. He is one of my favorite characters.

My prediction is that this arc will become the manga counterpart of MGS4.

Demon Seed was basically MGS3. Yude is well on their way to becoming the next Hideo Kojima. =D
