Well, the first half of the first playoff weekend is over and my main impression is... damn, what a bunch of shizznitty officiating. I hope neither of these crews that officiated today does another playoff game this year. <_<

I agree. The holding call that cost the Steelers their 2pt conversion was unreal. That game should have gone into overtime when Jackson kicked their field goal. The Steelers really got their stuff together in the second half, or Jacksonville just fell apart, however you want to look at it, but yeah, that totally should have been an overtime game.

This year the AFC North did have a pretty easy schedule. Both the Browns and Steelers lost some games they could have won. But here's next year's opponents. Definitely not easy!

1. Pittsburgh Steelers
Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants

Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins

2. Cleveland Browns
Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants

Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins

By the way from a non biased fan of last night's game the hold on the 2 point conversion was ridiculous, but the one catch that hit the ground slightly was a worse call I think. That was definitely a catch, but after review they said it was not. That being said I saw tons of holding by both the Steelers and Jacksonville the whole game that was not being called. Some pretty blatant stuff at that. Also some of those scuffles between the Jags and Ward could have been flagged. So you can say that was poor officiating as well, or that they were just letting them play. On the 2 point conversion the Jags player was yanked to the ground, but I think it was just a good block and not a hold. The ref probably just saw them falling to the ground and called a hold.

I would love to see Brett win another one. That guy is a class act, he does wrangler commercials for crying out loud, he's just an all around American good 'ol boy. I think it would be great if T.O. never won a superbowl!! :) But that aint likely to happen with Romo behind the driver seat, they will get one sonner then later I think.

Back to Favre, I think it's awesome how well he is doing, especially after so many people wanted to see him retire, and said he was too old for the game, and in this day and age with all the younger "punks" coming into the NFL, it's nice to see the old schooler teachin the younger guys how it's done...Aaron Rodgers has got to realize he is backing up a legend and to not sweat playing time cause his chance will come and when it does he will have alot of Brett Favre expertise to draw upon. :(

eff! There goes both my teams!!! Oh...well I guess next year. That was just a piss poor game between the Hawks and the Cheese Heads. :D I can't stand them. I have to hand it to them, they played better than the Hawks.

Hm, Romo has yet to win a playoff game and was out of the country on vacation over the bi-week... can you say CHOKE! :p

Perfect scenario for me is Packers Vs Pats in the SB, Favre and the Packers win!

Also, how lucky are we to see the like of Favre, Brady, and Payton playing -- three of the greatest QBs of all time! B)

But how annoying is Dan Dierdork saying that Payton is throwing and completing all his passes today because he saw Brady play last night and is "competing" against him. Uh, I think he might be simply trying to do something called... WINNING the freaking game he is playing! ^_^ :)

Anyhow, Rivers is having a great game too.

Wow, I am by no means a Chargers fan... but they were FREAKING ROBBED on that interception run back for a touchdown! And I LOVED the fact that Boomer Esiason called out the official who made the call by name during the halftime show! :)

The Browns, Titans, and Colts can all enjoy the rest of the playoffs from their couches.

I was referring to the Titans sucking in that quote not the Chargers or Colts.

Well now, lets give the Browns a little credit. Right from the start of the season everyone was giving the AFC North to the Ravens or Bengals with most people saaying that this would be the Bengals' year to do something impressive. Who would have thought that the Steelers would take 1st (losing only one game against division rivals) with the Browns hot on their heels? And if not for tiebreaker rules, the Steelers and Browns would have tied for 1st. I mean, this is the best the Browns have done since 94' so I think they deserve at least a little credit.

It just goes to show that no matter what the sportscasters predict in pre-season, anything can happen.

Now we'll see if that sissy Tom Brady will join the legendary Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana as the only quaterbacks with 4 Super Bowl rings.

Personally, I'm rooting for the Giants and Chargers. I'm gonna miss both playoff games though cuz we'll be in Ireland. Perhaps I should cancel my trip so I can stay home and watch the games, hahha. :)

You're right, Meaty. That was perhaps the best game of the entire playoff. :D

The Giants have been on a tear. I was actually rooting for the Pack, but I think the Giants have a great chance of playing the Pats tough, like they did the last game of the season, which is a huge mental advantage that they have that the Packers wouldn't have had, and good chance of winning, plus I thought I would add this little bit, so I could keep this sentence going longer than it already has been going, which has already been very, very long. :D

Tough way for the Favremeister to go down though. :D
