Scan (a manga). (Tran)slate (into the language you're going for). (Edit the words into the bubbles. Put it out in an edit)ion.

Most people can do the first and last step. That second step is a doozy.

I know that but what kind of program do you use?

I did one more tonight then I thought I would. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's Scout-killing time.

The infamous Boy Scout Slayer was caught earlier today by a lucky tip from a rookie cop.

"I was just browsing this message board for this manga that is getting translated, and the editor for the scanslation team just up and confessed!" The bespecticaled officer Rubarb, 25, told reporters, "I couldn't believe it. We had him in ten minutes! We could have had him in eight, but I saw he was finishing a chapter, so I let him finish that before we busted down his door and hit him repeatedly with billy club-- err, subdued him fastidiously."

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I used MSPaint, personally. I think most use Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop-- something that you can edit non-destructively.

Photoshop CS3. As long as you can use the clone stamp well, editing manga is easy. (just really time-consuming)

I think he meant this Scout: , not a real boy scout. XD

Man, these are big zips. I'm used to the 3-4MBs from the earlier chapters.

I started using 12 quality JPEGs instead of 8. (plus the chapters are about 5 pages longer)

The Main Page and 11-15 page is coming up as a 404 error for some reason, but the navigation bar and vol1-5, 6-10, and Links page are working... how odd.

EDIT: NEVERMIND.

Chapter 165: Dear Yude, this is how Kinnikuman should be. Gimmicky characters, over-the-top attacks, DEM, and a giant flying dinosaur foot. Not that soap opera crap.

Chp. 168: No no no...that's not DEM. THIS is DEM: http://mangahelpers....u/releases/9854

(let me just say I really hate this fight...besides, can't you just kill Canadianman without destroying Canada in the process?)

Chapter 167: This chapter was going fine until the ending exposition. I'm not even gonna question the fine details of his powers.
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=TN5OY0VO

Aside from Planetman not making much sense, I love this arc so far. The fights never last too long and the enemies are constantly pulling out new powers to keep things fresh. It's a shame that the arc after this is so terrible. (I don't know who decided Mongolman and Buffaloman getting beat up by Neptuneman was interesting enough to last an entire volume)

Also, I'd like to cite this chapter as an excuse as to why I don't bother with the between-chapter pages. I know everyone here has already spoiled the whole series for themself, but I don't think everyone else needs fights from the next volume spoiled.

Canadians don't really fare too well in shonen manga. Canadianman is no exception to this rule. In fact, I think he may be the entire reason why Canadians get owned so much in manga.

Maybe it's because he hangs out with Specialman. ;)

yes. The American choujin that is not a cowboy is 'special.'

Our previous president was both! How stereotypes ring true!

...I wonder if our current president has much in common with Ballsman/Kintaman? Time will tell.

Don't you mean a cowboy...or an Indian on American Choujin passes? (then again I don't like Specialman either)

And meanwhile, I never liked how suddenly Kintaman is the protector of all of Africa like it's just one huge country. One thing I hate about media on both sides of the Pacific is that they just think Africa is like one amorphous blob...aside from North Africa which is the Middle East. (anywhere from Morroco to Egypt) At least things got better by the time of Gazelleman...even if he still did nothing in the series. (somehow someone could make a joke of Planetman attacking "Africa" and Kintaman just staring at him like "um...wrong country"?)

Geronimo's kickass until he actually turns into a Chojin. Then he gets slapped with the cannon fodder card. Poor guy.

At least he's better than Wolfman, whose win record is worse than Meat's. (his only win in the entire series is against a walking Rubik's Cube)

Yeah, as a human he was already able to beat Sunshine. You'd think that after becoming a choujin he'd be even stronger. Guess not.

Still, he is one of my favorite characters.

Brocken Jr. was also a pretty bad jobber, but he has always been one of the most popular legends. Apparently in Nisei, he is known as the best trainer at the Hercules factory. Is this true? If anything, I would think that Ramenman would be the best trainer considering how wise/intelligent he is, along with his amazing skill and technique.

Actually, he's from the Central African Republic. (which is exactly where Planetman hit) It's not like he just went "bam, Africa" and killed Kintaman.

One, not counting his occasional win in the early chapters. Wolfman tied his record, plus died 3 times in the process.

The way I see it, Brockenman's military mindset is very compatible with the bootcamp-like training at the Hercules factory. Ramenman seems to be better at training people indirectly. (like when he taught Mantaro in the mountains, or when he helped Brocken jr get over his revenge by doing nothing)

No, essentially Planetman just goes "AFRICA" and...BAM, down goes Kintaman. And back when he was introduced in the first Choujin Olympics, Kintaman was just said to be from "Africa". It's only recently they probably changed it to Central African Republic...but they should have gotten it right the first time before pulling that nonsense!

Oh, and Wawa coffee forever...though Tim Hortons brews a mean hot chocolate.

I'm going to be trying to keep up with this alongside my other projects now but for the moment:
