I like those stands. They should look just right alongside Joe or SW stands, but the design themselves, and with a space for the figure's number, can keep the figures just as nice and organized as if they were MISB. What I don't like is that the name and number are displayed flat on the base instead of the front - something Joes in particular display best - and that the name is recessed a little but not the number, which could lead to fading.

Just a note that i found to be of some interest, i went into Wal-Mart today and they were doing their huge fall toy aisle reset. Checked the sheets and new tags in and around the Marvel Universe section. They didn't have space allocated for either Secret Wars 2-packs or the Giant Battles sets, and there continue to be fewer pegs for MU than for the Wolverine movie toys. Astounding.

So far the only place i've seen the SW figures around here is a single Target.

Well, last time I went out, Target and TRU all had SWs and the quality on them appeared to be alot better. I have been skipping alot of Wal-marts since they are usually higher in price, and the GB packs and Wave 5 aren't out yet.

you ever have one of those days where you wake up and tell yourself: "i'm not going to buy any marvel universe today." and then you utterly fail? that's how my day went. ended up buying 5 figures i didn't have or need. why can't they just hurry the eff up and release wave 5 already?

The body's looking more maroon, while the gloves, boots, and belt are a tad brighter.

Among other things, he looks more like the movie version now.

Pretty much an entirely new Paint job. I think it looks great! Maybe a Wave 5 variant? Wave 4 Refresher variant possibly? It has the Nick Fury offer. The first one pretty much was the color of the art. So big difference. And yeah, it does sort of look like the movie costume colors.

Well, hopefully there will be something interesting for me to find out there on Friday. :spiteful:
It's been pretty barren.

Anyone need anything while I'm out?

Picked up a Ronin and another red Hand Ninja to satisfy my need for new figures, but then I went to K-Mart and they had the new X-Men orgins Wolvering merch out. No Blob and Sabertooth two pack but I did pick up the Weapon X chamber haven't had a chance to play with it yet but the chamber itself looks awesome.

Has anyone seen Blob and Sabertooth yet (mainly I want to know if Blob looks worth buying, in scale that sort of thing)?

I saw Blob/Sabretooth 2 pack. Actually, Blob is a great fig. Nice textures, details, and proportions (or misproportions/overproportions) were right on. It is as good as a fatty fig could be.

I heard the Blob figure had basically no articulation and was more or less an "accessory" for the included Sabretooth figure. Much like the upcoming Colossus figure in the same line. I would buy the hell out of a properly articulated Blob though.

Yep, they are just launchers. They look great, but the lack of no articulation is lame. And the Classic style articulated Colossus doesn't look to hot in the pics I've seen. I'll probably buy them all if I find them tomorrow though. I heard the Deadpool is different or something. I'm pretty sure it's just a repaint of the first one, but someone somewhere said it was a new sculpt. I'll see. I do really want that Weapon X chamber though, and will at least buy that one if I can't afford them all.

I'm gonna be SOOOO pissed if my Toys'R'Us doesn't have those 3 packs yet. :D

just so you know, sprawl-mart is run by dumb shizznits. they have their wolverine origins marked down to $5 on clearance and guess who else they threw into the mix. that's right, marvel universe. and not just the old ones, the new wave 4's too. i bought four more figs today, three i didn't need (one may be headed to another member here the other two were green and red hulk) and one i did need but isn't too hard to find. i really like only paying $5 for these as opposed to the standard $7-8. too bad that isn't the original price.

Yeah if these were $5 i would have so many more. For as much as it feels like i've spent on the line there are still a shocking number of figures that i don't have.

Well, My Friday started out pretty well! I got all cleaned up and in my I'm Hot Sh#t mood, jumped in my car, and hit the road! :woot:

First stop was at the barren Walmart outside my town, so I wasn't there long. Then I stopped by a K-mart, they had the Thing with White Boots! YEAH!! What the crap??? $9.25???? Your kidding! Screw that. I just started, and I'm pretty confidant I'll find another one at a much more NORMAL price. :D There's a Walmart, but I decide to hit the Target down the road first, then if I don't find anything swing back to Wal-Mart. Hoping to save some pennies. Get into Target, they have tons of Secret Wars packs in stock, and the same single card figures they had last week. Suck...

Get back in my car, and everything changes in an instant. My car wouldn't crank...It wouldn't even turn over. Battery must have died or something. Had to get the Old Man to swing around my way and help me figure out what's going on. :( Jumped it off, cut on my air, and it cut off again.. Jumped it off again. Decided my short trip was over. He decided that he should drive the car and I should take his truck and follow him....Don't know why. I felt like I was gonna swerve into incoming traffic and die in his raggedy old truck the whole way home! We got in the middle of the highway and my car died again. I had to jump out in traffic and stop them so we could push the car off the road. Then I had to find a 10 minute detour with in one block to turn around and get back to where the car was.....didn't help that this was afternoon traffic time, and people don't know how to drive. So we hook up the car again and jumped it off again. This time it survived the trip home. And what do you know! It's cranking again! Don't know what the heck happened. Only thing I can figure is my rear hatch wasn't closed all the way and the inner light killed the battery in 5 minutes, or my alternator is on the fritz and doesn't know if it wants to work or not. Soooo.....the trip was a total fail, and I may have to spend that toy money on my means of living! Total BS!

Well, hopefully the car is fixed. Spent like $15 bucks and rigged up what I think the problem was. :D Then just to be safe I managed to hitch a ride with my brother across town and hit Toys'R'Us. They only had 1 of the 3 packs :( And it was the expensive 70th anniversary one. So I reluctantly bought it. Didn't want to completely waste the trip and the HORRID ride there. My brother and his Girlfriend smoke like a camp fire, and the car isn't any better. Better than the risk of my car dying on me an hour away from the house. :p

Well, I was losing my mind today, and we had to have the Poop Tank sucked out, soooo I risked the car drive, and went to make up for my shopping excursion. I found Handful of Heroes, a White Bootied Thing, and the New Deluxe X-Men Origins packs!

I got:

Sabretooth/Blob - It's an okay set. Sabretooth is the same figure, a new head sculpt, and a much much lighter lion like color with dark brown striping. Blob isn't so bad either. He has Shoulder Hinges, so he can at least move his arms outward. He also has a swivel/Hinge neck, so he can turn his head and look up a little. :cheeks: Which really makes up for the large lack of movement. He is very light though as his body is just 2 injection pieces fitted together.

Deadpool with Cannon - As I heard, he is a completely new sculpt! Pretty good one too. My only problem is his hip balls are smaller than normal. The cannon is high quality plastic, but isn't anything special. If you want the Deadpool..don't feel bad about giving the cannon to your kids. I probably will be putting it away, as it takes up too much space to be worth displaying.

Wolverine/Colossus - Colossus isn't bad at all! A great sculpt and decent paint apps and washes. He has wrist swivels and shoulder hinges like blob, but his arms can also be clicked up and down as well. He also has the Swivel/Hinge neck. A pretty nice figure. Again he is pretty light on the feet like Blob. The wolverine has the same head as the Wave 3 Mask-less version. And it doesn't fit well on the neck, it looks like he is constantly looking down when he is standing up. A decent figure though, and I like the costume, but he also has those small hip balls.

Wolverine in Stasis Chamber - Okay! This is the best pack so far! the figure is perfect, he has a new open mouthed head sculpt and the body articulation is very well done! He was also the heaviest pack. His chamber is just ROCK Solid, and freaking cool! you can spin him around in the stasis chamber and also knock out the glass on the front. I love this set! I've got him jumping through the glass snarling. :p

:cheeks:

And I know! I've been an extreme slack on my reviews. I've bought so many great figs lately that I've wanted to take pics of, but I have had virtually no private time to huddle down and take pics, but when I get the chance, hopefully tonight or tomorrow, I'll be taking tons of pictures of bunches of figures. And probably spending the rest of the week writing up reviews and posting some. Hopefully.

I also forgot to mention something. Apparently the Wave 4 refresher cases have been packed with #1 Iron Mans, but the Gold looked darker to me than normal. If I can swing back that way before they sale out, I'll take my Wave 1 Iron Man with me to see. Might be some kind of variation. :D Or my eyes are playing with me in the different lighting.

Also They had the XO:W Biker Wolverine set, but really. If your gonna spend $14 bucks on the thing I'd advise you drop another 5 bucks and get the two pack from Toys'R'Us If someone already hasn't. Cause really I see nothing to warrant the price on that figure at all. $12 maybe, if you really want one. I expect this to be the only pack left hanging around if anything.

The only set I even thought about getting was the Deadpool one, stupid gun or not. I'll have to see how much better or worse his new body is.
