i'd still say you did yourself a favor by getting a wave 1 coffin. i don't see target and kmart getting wave 1, but i could be mistaken. maybe they'll carry wave one and two at the same time when they get them in at these stores.

Judging by this thread I'd say their marketing is paying off...

i think word of mouth is doing the best for them right now. i couldn't imagine if they spent some money on a good tv ad, and placed it on some good shows. maybe some adult swim cartoons, of course spongebob squarepants would hit a good target audience also. could be huge with one good advertisement on tv

The wave 1 12 pack is in stock at EE again Entertainment Earth

The tombstone carrying case set that EE will have in May is a good deal for anyone with kids or a friend to split them with. $43 including shipping for 2 each of wave 1 and wave 2 twelve packs.

There hasn't been much marketing.

The thread is so active because this is one of the coolest minifigure lines to come out in modern times, especially if they do everything they say they're doing with over 100 figures this year and glow in the dark chase figures.

Adjusted for inflation SLUG figures cost twice as much as MUSCLE did.

Thanks for the heads up on EE. I went ahead and ordered because I've pretty much had my fill of searching TRU and Walgreens in vain.

Just picked up a few one packs at Walgreens in an area just outside of Columbus' north side (Thanks for the head's up, Darkhawk!)... And what I want to know is, who is sniffing these things?
Sheesh.

Still, I am a fan of the plastic they are made out of. Unfortunately, the only other one that I want, the Mike Tyson one, is in a three pack, so I have no impetus to buy the 12 packs, until wave 2 comes out.

I picked up four. Two King Guts (my favorite), Grave Lincoln, and Corroding Kid.
I get Mike Tyson/Whatever his gimmicked up name is, and I'm pretty much good on wave one.

Nice! King Guts is one of the coolest for sure.

When I get my 12 pack in the mail this week, now I'm going to be focusing on the smell the whole time when I open them, haha.

when you cut open the plastic of the 12 pack, you won't even have to focus on the smell, it'll overwhelm you. i'm sure after they're out on a shelf they'd air out, i just keep mine in airtight packaging, so everytime i get em out, they smell just like they did when i opened the packs

Nice write up but don't forget there is ones that Glow In The Dark, they will be the chase variants

I wonder if the chase figures have been put into the packs yet and if they are more clear green then the solid. I found a Walgreens that has 2 full boxes of the single packs, tempted to see what I can get

I read that on the Jakks website but I can't find any additional info around the web, I just thought they will include these chase figures in series 2 or maybe they are already included inside the blind-packs.. Anyone got lucky and found one?

maybe its a case instead of a set~?

Good call. That would be the way to go if I could find other people near me that were interested in a set. Oh, and they'd have to be in stock. :)

Hmm. I wonder if they'll have booth at c2e2?

I am going on Saturday and will definitely keep an eye out for them.

Well, I can see what all of the buzz was about. I'm bummed that these aren't on shelves everywhere, because I think they'd sell like gangbusters... But, the design and execution have renewed my interest in the line.
The rubber is great, and they look 10X better in person than in pictures.
