Mars has officially turned into Knuckles. XD I think he's the only one who has any common sense in this arc, since he isn't like OMG!!1 like everyone else is.

I knew this will bite them on the rear end, what with retcons and people dissappearing. Though if it means Kinnikuman and Terryman to win and all that, I ain't complainin'!

There is a big progress in this story!

Because of the hourglass, Suguru is a dying man.
Mantaro hesitates to attack Suguru, though he has got a good chance to defeat him.
Scar and Jade urges Mantaro to fight against Suguru, by saying that Mantaro is the representative of their generetion and shoul win.
Terry Kenyon, however, seems to be reluctant, and Scar accuses him.
Then, Terry Kenyon says that this battle should be stopped because Suguru's death will result in his son, Mantaro's disappearance.
Finally, Scar, Jade and all the fellows realize the serious situation which turns out to be the strategy of Jikan-choujins.

Kenyon asks his father to withdraw from the fight but Terry refuses.
Seeing Mantaro's foot disappearing, Terry is convinced that Mantaro is the true son of Suguru.
Kenyon then pulls out a hat from his baggage, which is the symbol of default among his families, and throw it at Terry. Terry understands what it means.

I can't believe that nobody including smart Meat, Scar, Robin could not realize this time paradox mechanism until Terry Kenyon mentions(XD).

Asking Mars why he didn't get the situation before Terry the Kid, I received this response, in dub voice no less.

"All dese here bandages, dere cuttin' off the coiculashun in my brain, y'got that?"

Edit: ... Cripes, I just used my 100th post for that? I should have held fire, and used it for a song translation I really wanted to post up. Ah, well, such is life. Ut est vita. C'est la vie. Kest la vy. [insert other nonsensical linguistic pleonasms]

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

Well, it's usually Terryman/Terry the Kid that figures out this stuff through the manga, isn't it? It like a Terry-Family superpower (Mars is probably on some MAJOR drugs right now, so might be a little distracted XD).

What I can't believe is it took them this long for ANY CHARACTER to figure out how Suguru dying (by 'Death Match' Seppuku or Hourglass) affects Mantaro. We've figured this out since we found out about the hourglass... OI.

But the thing is, even if Terryman throws in the towel (er, hat) and forfeits the match, that doesn't save Suguru from the "Mask Removal/Death" stipulation! Does it?

Forfeit, he still dies. Fight, he still dies. STOP RUINING OUR FAVORITE DUMBARSE YUDE. ;O;

Suguru dying would be the ultimate meme. Forget the moobs, forget Mari, forget the retcons, THIS WILL SINGLEHANDEDLY DESTORY YUDES REP. It will be glorious, extremely glorious. I can hardly wait. ;D

Meh, I still say this Arc is pretty cool, and Nezumi-Otoko agrees with me. I didn't become a fan of Kinnikuman because it had a great well thought-out story, that's why I became a fan of One Piece, Hajime no Ippo, and Maison Ikkoku. Like with Otokojuku, my favorite aspect of Kinnikuman is the fighting. It doesn't matter what ridiculous crap causes the fights, as long as there is fighting.

Although, I did initially like how Yude were trying to have more story, lately with the Mari-ness it got kind of annoying, now I just want the fighting again.

The only way this is possibly going to work is if Suguru and company lose, but when he takes off his mask, Manataro takes off his own and uses a Face Flash so nobody sees it. Then they put a bucket or something on his face and send him away.

Of course it does, it's a BIG DRAMATIC MOMENT. Like deciding to throw in the towel in Rocky, or the final pitch in a baseball movie. Besides, that pose reminds the reader what he did at the end of the last chapter. Now, what did Terryman say there? :<

And it sure looks like the hourglass is going back up. Is that due to Suguru's will, or was it built to do that, weaken him at different times for moments of weakness?

Well, it looks like he's patronising Kid, with the wagging finger. That and the sound effects are "Chi chi chi", which is a sound effect for tutting. "Tut tut".

In the first picture, after looking at the hat, he says "Sweat-stained!" I'm assuming he's talking about Suguru, since the verb form is technically in the gerund type form, so literally it's like: "He's being sweat-stained!" Though I suppose he could be talking about the hat? I doubt it though.

Meanwhile, Suguru still seems determined on struggling it out. He says "isshindoutai", which is like being united as one whole. At first I saw "isshin", which was "wholeheartedly", so I thought it may have been that he was saying he'll wholeheartedly struggle this out, but reading more it doesn't look like it. I saw "amae", which may mean he's calling Mantarou a spoilt brat again.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.
