The Multiskull, Skeletor colorway was my favorite! The figures were all under glass, so no opportunity to pick one up.

There was only one giant Phantom Outhouse there that I saw.

im not into painted figures but id take that in a heartbeat!!

The ones in the case were likely resin or hard plastic, since they were cast at home. The production ones, I believe, are going to be the same material as Glyos. I may be wrong though.

SDCC is a zoo, but going to see stuff like that makes it all worth it. George even hooked me up with an OMFG poster.

I am pretty sure they were resin ~ most of the color ones were painted.

Obviously, they're not EXACTLY like MUSCLE plastic, but I've heard they're close, so definitely not Godbeast's very hard very brittle mix. My assumption is something like those bootlegs I just posted pics of - sturdy, just a tiny bit harder than MUSCLE plastic, honestly pretty good quality.

...yeah, the Frankenstein bootlegs are high-quality plastic.

They're going to be same material as the ZOMBIES and the Glyos figs, which is to say: awesome! I love Glyos PVC. It's firmer than MUSCLE PVC, but not brittle at all.

It's hard to compare Glyos stuff to MUSCLE because of the different formats and textures, although at least crayboth are the right size.

But yeah, it really is good-quality plastic!

From George:

Well it's at least 14 day before the money is even cleared to come to us, plus however long our bank takes to clear it.
From there we can wire the factory and start the tooling.
Basic production timeline breakdowns are usually around 30-45 days to cut steel tools. Another week for first shots and approvals, and then 10-30 days for production. Then the boat trip to the US from China, can be 2-4 weeks, or more depending on if customs holds things for testing or lets it through. So it will be a few months still.

We'll be keeping everyone updated of the process through kickstarter as it goes.

But before that, the molds will have to be cut, the figures produced, shipped to the US, and only then can OT fill orders. Right? How long will that process take?

I was told late fall/winter.

If this line is a success (and it seems to be heading that way) does anyone think the "Kickstarter" model of funding could be used far more often in the future?

For toys or in general? Because I think it's pretty heavily used now - but it's great for this kind of toy project.

Yeah, I meant for toys in particular. I was browsing the Kickstarter site and there's hardly any toys on there at all, but if you're into comics, art etc there's plenty of projects to partake in.

I totally agree.

There will probably be tears when it comes time to sell all those figures. The kids will be upset too.

The last estimates I read, and which sounded a bit conservative to me, were December. I'm thinking we might not get anything until February.
