^^;; People can pretty easily tell this for themselves, I'm sure, but just to feel like I'm doing something, I'll explain. ^^;;;

Evidently, the spirit of Prince Kamehame is telling Mantarou how to use not only the Yonjuuhachi no Satsujin Waza ("Forty Eight Killer Techniques"), but the Gojuuni no Kansetsu Waza ("Fifty Two Joints/Articulation Techniques" or "Fifty Two Submission Techniques"), culminating in Mantarou performing a Kīlauea Stretch on Suguru.

Kīlauea, as it happens, is a Hawaiian volcano, rather fitting for a move from Kamehame. Even more trivia: "Kīlauea" is Hawaiian for "spewing" or "much spreading", of course in reference to the lava.

Oh, and just to show my job of being a translator, the second picture, i.e. the Kīlauea Stretch panel, says:

"Gojuuni no Kansetsu Waza no hitotsu Kīlauea Stretch!"

Or, in English:

"One of the Fifty Two Submission Techniques, Kīlauea Streeeeeeeetch!"

The "Stretch" is elongated. In literally Romanised Japanese, "Stretch" looks like "Sutorechiiiiiiiiii!", which is to show that Announcer-san/Yoshigai/Mac Metaphor is elongating the sound himself, to sound dramatic. If you've seen actual 'puroresu' ("Pro-Wres") in Japanese, or even just an over-the-top Japanese gameshow, you'll hear the announcers constantly elongate the sounds, to be over-the-top and dramatic.

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

Holy paradox Batman. But Kin isn't supposed to even know of the 52 submission techniques until the match with Omegaman right? This just makes me all the more convinced that somehow everyone in the past is going to forget this whole saga ever took place.

..in b4 Matto using my quote to say he wishes we could all forget.

In all my translating and worrying about who actually was saying the speech bubble in the last panel, I didn't even think of that. I was too busy trying to figure out the kanji for "kansetsu". ... So, yeah, Suguru while being able to go "Okay, what?" on hearing about the 52 techniques, now knows the name of them because, y'know, in a shounen style manga (albeit one in a Playboy...), you always have to announce just what the hell your attack is.

in a shounen style manga (albeit one in a Playboy...), you always have to announce just what the hell your attack is.

They can also do it in video games and shojo manga as well.

Examples:
Tales of Symphonina (hell, every Tales game for that matter)
Sailor Moon - every arc and anime season.

in b4 Matto using my quote to say he wishes we could all forget.

OFF-TOPIC: SlowBro as Great is indeed the most awesome thing ever.

On-Topic: If this TIME PARADOX (dun dun dun) makes a massive eff up of plot disasters to follow, then Yude outdid themselves with causing INTERNETS RAGE.

I just can't wait. =D

Okay, no-one says anything really noteworthy in the first page's set of panels. Just variations of "Rinko-[insert honorific here]!", Mantarou just being shocked. Oh, except Announcer-san:

"Aaaatto! Chaos ga Terryman no Back ... Kick wo kuratta ... ni ... reta!"

"War Cube no glass no kakera ga Tournament Mountain no moto ni iru josei... ni atattaaaaaa!"

So, it says about how Chaos has given Terryman something in return for his Back (Something) Kick, and also exposition in saying: "A shard of glass of the War Cube, shooting down to the bottom of Tournament Mountain, has hit the young lady/(something about Rinko being a lady, yet Kawaii Kenni-kun can't see the last Kanji)!"

Chaos also starts to say things like: "Mizukara ningen wo ... tsukete shimatta!"

Mizukara means "personally", so I'm guessing that Chaos is saying "I've personally hurt someone!" or something. In other words, he's angsting about causing Rinko to get hurt, as he's done it himself. His kick caused the War Cube to break and send a glass shard flying down which got Rinko.

He's doing from the update I did a translation a while ago. He's getting help from Kamehame and using one of the 52 Submission Techniques on Suguru. The Kīlauea Stretch. Though in the other panel, he is also being an utter "twonk" and a heel, and doing the same to Suguru as Suguru did to him, as in he's pulling Suguru's mask strings.

The douche-ness is nothing new, but holy crap, Rinko is getting some panel time! HAWT.

It's just too bad I will never like you, manga!Rinko. anime!Rinko didn't dress up as Seiko Matsuda, she's voiced by Fumiko Orikasa (Riza Hawkeye VA's for the new FMA series WIN!), and she doesn't have giant chest balloons.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

We still haven't seen the brunt of Yude's creativity going into full-scale disaster mode folks. There are five step to go through when it comes to handling this.

Step One: Pray for the Doucheness to end.
Step Two: Update comes, it doesn't end.
Step Three A: Complain about the dragging.
Step Three B: Match ends, but something stupid happens. AKA, Mari's un-neededness.
Step Four: Whine and wait for Matto to talk out of his arse.
Step Five: New Update, repeat step one.
OR
Step Five: [b]Yude's current arc will be cancelled and we get the dream thing. However the editors at Playboy will give Yude full creative control over the ext arc. Might involve a toaster. Repeat step one.

IT WILL NEVER CEASE.

I have a new theory that I've been mulling over ever since seeing the Mantaro fighting dirty images. Okay so for whatever reason we know so far that Kin and Terryman are fighting dirty in the match, which Kin suggested, and I still highly believe that this is because the spider has affected him in someway.

So lets pretend for now that this is actually what has happened, now what? We have a potentially evil Kinnikuman, and so far any change to the timeline has changed the characters in order to prevent a paradox, such as Jeager's new move after Brocken's arm was torn off. Thinking about it in these terms, its not surprising this has happened. A potentially evil Kinnikuman could also result in an evil Mantaro, causing him to act this way too.

Yes I'm perfectly aware that this theory is horrendously unlikely, I-I want to still believe in Yude. D: Surely they can't make Mantaro act like this without a reason, right guys? *in denial*

Your not the only one who still belives in Yude. Sigh... It's been dragging forever on this fight. Of course Mantaro would never act evil like that without a reason. Kinnikuman there still infected with the spider. The one thing i'm worried about is what will happen to the paradoxes. Just like Brocken's arm (*shakes fist in the air*).
