Hi guys,
sorry for delay update on this forum but I was really really busy the past year.
In reality I've not an update to give you at the moment because the last time I talked with the sculptor he told me that was having some serious problems with his home after floods damages... something like he has changed home if I understood well or just repaired.
However I email him later to know what point he is but don't worry the project is still running just I continue to say sorry to all collectors for the very long time WE have to wait to see these figures finally made.
I thought that this project was faster initially. One thing is sure, the quality of the sculpts will be wonderfully detailed and maybe better than MIMPs that we all know. I saw an high quality picture of Sciapod (almost 100% complete) and it is marvellous.
I hope to update you here later or maybe tomorrow.

Hope his luck changes so he can finish these sculpts before he's struck by lightning or something.
Must remember to check this thread same time next year for a progress report! 😊

Hi all!
Here we go with an update and new pictures.
As you can see the headless Man is near to completion and there is a picture that show a group of 7 at good point (including Sciapod that I believe is 100% completed).
Enjoy the pictures.

First of all, glad to see you back on here with news on this Fede. And secondly.....
I simply love that headless man sculpt! I'm really suprised at how accurate it is to the trading card image (unlike a select few of the originals). The others are coming along nicely too. Can't wait to see the whole lot in Shreddies & Big-Boy colours, although I know that might also take up a lot of time. Be sure to keep us all posted matey.

Hey Fellas, any of you seen this website before?
http://translator.li...ic.php?p=136861
It was originally in Spanish I think, so I had to translate it to English to see what you lot reckon to it. Not sure if it'll be any use to Fede when it comes to writing out the card decriptions for missing figures, but according to this they've also been given a number!
Let me know what you think about this.

Hi all,
Here we go with some picture from the Sculptor, there is also a picture with the original Triton with Small trident in hand that I bought from him.
The pieces in the 1st picture aren't made of rubber but is an hard resin painted with colours similar to the rubber tones.
He told me they're used for merchandise use, for example to take pictures for the volcano box and pictures used in the checklist sheet.
I bought them for a very good price and I wanted to share these shots with you all.
I hope to give you soon more updates.

Wow, you bought the figures that were used for the pamphlet photos? That is incredibly cool. Would you be able to take a closeup pic of the Medusa figure (assuming it's in there)? In addition to Triton, that figure was also slightly different from the production sculpt.
Also, those Series 3 sculpts are looking absolutely fantastic. I am loving the Sciapod and Banshee the most, I think.

These are looking excellent! Can't wait to see the finished Jabalius, Grendel and Talos in particular.
What's up with the giant flesh-coloured Triton?

Awesome to see photos of the original painted prototypes. As fkro6784 said, could you take photos of the Medusa prototype? The chest area is quite different from the production toy
Do you know when the 15 unreleased figures will be finished?
Also are you going to be selling the 15 unreleased figures when they are done? And if so, how much would a set cost?

It makes me wonder even more now about those 'test shot' flesh figures. Are they like the ones pictured above without the paint? Are the painted ones above the next stage following the flesh casting? Or are they just flesh customs?

Are these from the original sculptor of the MIMP figures?
Hi man,
yes, these all are from him, old MIMPs for advertising and demonstration photos and the 16 missing figures from the 3rd serie fresh Hand-Sculpted to refill the void from NBR_82 to NBR_ 96
Plus Bash Tchelik as the 16th obiouvsly.
These are looking excellent! Can't wait to see the finished Jabalius, Grendel and Talos in particular.

Thank you! I like his awesome job on the figures, too!
The giant Triton is an original Wax model Hand-Sculpted by him in a larger scale that was used by Matchbox. Probably a model they used to understand better details to put on the final figure.
However I think the final sculpts were commissioned to another group of sculptors, maybe Chinese.
Triton is a part of total collection from his archives. There are 6 of these larger wax models (Hydra, Cyclops, Triton, Windigo, Kali, Red Cap) and I bought them all from him. I already bought about 2/3 years ago, 6 models (in that case were test casting) in Hard resin made of Beige colour material, there are some shots of them in the first pages of this thread.

Unfortunately there is not Medusa in that lot of 1:1 Painted Sample set.
Triton was slightly different from the final sculpt like all the other 5 larger scale models are too.
Probably because Matchbox had to re-sculpt them in smaller scale and was impossible to make perfectly exact copies of them.

Thanks man,
Yes I heard about the chest of Medusa, too. Infact on the sheets she has more uncovered boobs
but I write above there is not Medusa in this collection of Adv. Samples.
I'm sorry but I cannot give a true answering about timing to start with the unreleased figures, I hope to start give you chance to grab the first 8 figures will be produced the next year... JUST MY HOPE.
Anyway yes, they'll be available for the collectors but probably a bit expensive, I've tried to keep the production costs as low as possible, together with the sculptor but however there is alot of hard work behind those figures. I cannot say a price at the moment.
Jaw-dropping sculpts! I think the Sciapod is rediculosuly awesome!! It's also crazy to see those original pamphlet resin figures, in particular that Triton
It makes me wonder even more now about those 'test shot' flesh figures. Are they like the ones pictured above without the paint? Are the painted ones above the next stage following the flesh casting? Or are they just flesh customs?
Thank you Burty!
You're nice and active like always in this thread, as 80Child and Keywolf too!
Talking about the Painted Samples, they've flat bottom at the base of feet and there is nothing, no writings, point numbers and so on... only the almost invisible casting line, that in these case go around the figure passing in the middle of the base, a bit different comparing with rubber MIMPs and Flesh resin models we've seen time ago on Ebay, that have engraved base with increase all around the edges.
all for your continued support and interest in this project!!!
