What BS?

See: Bull sh*t.

I don't like him in any arc. Whenever he fights, it always feels like it's his opponent who's trying to beat him, and not the other way around. (plus his BS in the last arc)

Anyhow, I have no problems with that. The more the merrier.

Robin Mask was basically Kevin Mask except less bishounen.

And less speedo wearing.

More like more speedo wearing. He's totally wearing one all the time in the manga.

Wrestling tights and speedos are considered different things.

Then again, I troll Viz, Tokyo and Yude. My opinion doesn't matter.

The only difference is that one is for swimming.

Escaping from that conversation:

Chp. 178: Six arms to hold you...and break you to bits: http://mangahelpers..../releases/10482

Don't get me started with this chapter, particularly the whole question of "who invented the Kinniku Buster in the first place?". This chapter seemed like Suguru did but it was one of Prince Kamehame's 48 Killer Techniques...but of course, at least the Ashura Buster is obvious. (unless Suguru grows four more arms in the next 200 or so chapters)

Oh guys.

Why don't we all just come to terms with G1's plot stupidity and deem it the greatest manga ever?

You really don't like Robin in this arc, huh?

By the way, Can I be part of your scanlating team, as a english to filipino translator?

I've got no problem with that. =3 What's everyone else think?

Also, does anyone have a really kickass group photo of the G1 cast? I'm drawing a blank when it comes to the banner for the new layout..

Check Youjouu Power for the larger versino of the the wikipedia groupshot. (assuming wikipedia still uses the groupshot)

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

The action of G1 is good, as is the comedy earlier on (dependant on the story). The plot holes...well, a lot of comics in the US have them, so maybe we should let them slide. (but come on: the Kinniku Buster is one of the 48 Killer Techniques...and now all of a sudden Kinnikuman invented it himself? So what did Kamehame teach him?)

Got a bit of a problem though: I finished vol. 14 today but pg. 2 & 3 of the final chp. (Terryman vs. Ashuraman, essentially the two pages after the title page) are missing. It's still rather easy to know what's going on with that, but I sort of am a completist and want to at least have them somewhere so I can adjust my translation even after I put it up on MH.

After reading the amount of Gen 1 that's translated, I'm seeing a LOT of carbon copying going on frmo Gen 1 to Nisei.

I've seen a lot of carbon copying from the previous arc. First Kinnikuman fights a gimmicky Chojin, then he fights a space Chojin, then Warsman makes a noble sacrifice, then his friends step in to fight the rest of the chojin, then Kinnikuman faces the ones who survived, then he fights the last boss. I guess the unique plot was never this series' strong point.

Chapter 173: "Your attack is almost perfect, but it has one weakness! I can duck under it!"

I think plot in Kinnikuman (well at least by this point) is just background clutter that fills in the time between fights...like any simplistic but cool shonen of the time. At least there was more of a balance earlier on. (well not really: the America arc was really great with the story in the first half but the fights were nowhere as interesting like these ones)

Chp. 179: Terryman: inventor of the wheel, incandescent lighting, motion pictures, air conditioning, the internet...and yes, punching in a wresting match: http://mangahelpers..../releases/10518
Chp. 180: All those other moves out there and, of course, it had to be that one: http://mangahelpers..../releases/10519

Kishimoto should take lessons on plot from 80's Yude.

21st century Yude would just give him lessons on retcons.

WOOT 180 chapters, awesome job guys!

Couldn't find a good picture on yuujoupower. =[ I was thinking of using the first DVD cover with Kin and Terryman on it.. The only bad part is I'd have to redraw part of Kin's arm.

Uploaded 173, the full volume 13, and let mangaupdates know.

It's been a while since I even posted on here, My daily life is crazy none the less. But I barely seen anyone I used to know from here on AIM anymore being that it's always on 24/7 on my iTouch. So far I did a bunch of chapters in full from the "Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne" (Arc) perfectly translated. What's new with everyone else besides not being around anymore.

I've been running back and forth between manga and other thing, but luckily vol. 14 is done (as is vol. 2 of Jii-chan G...but now I'm balancing Kinnikuman with another promised project of Ai Kola). Want to at least finish up to the end of Terryman/Ashuraman before ending the week but can't say it will be done.

Damn, Everyone's just busy with life I guess. I been doing a lot of bobbing and weaving in these couple of days. Besides translating and working on new music you know what I usually do. Anyways, I obtained almost everything Yude made in "Manga" form. I'll be doing scanlations of all of their other series as well once I'm done with Kinnikuman. Buying books isn't cheap and it's costing me a ton of money which I don't have. Since this stimulus that Obama put out has done nothing for our economy yet, Rich people aren't rich anymore and Poor people are still poor. So I'm gonna ask you guys for some help and all seeing that I work on this project day and night for the ones who know me. If you can help me out so I can get the rest of these to translate them all for you guys after the G1 Project is done. I figured since I want to take it upon myself to do everything Yude has made so you'd can enjoy them all. I'm sure most of you are curious about their other manga's and to be honest, They're not so bad they're actually really good. But, If you can give me some donations it would help so my cost won't explode cause this is coming out of my own pockets, Thanks.

It should be a creative hobby that you do for fun.

Ok... I gotta complain a little here...

Early in the series, we allowed the F-bomb, just as Toriama's World did.

Now, on Chapter 171, on Page 12, we have Brocken Junior saying "Darn You."

What... The... Hell...?

Why not "Damn You"? There's a quarter-dozen F---'ks in the books, but we've started toning it down to where 'darn you' was the best we could do?

That's a little TOO far.

Compensating for all of the F-bombs early in the series.

I have to admit, that's kind of silly that we're taming it down THAT much. o_O; You hear "damn" on TV neither all the time. And Brocken's a Nazi.. who has za blahs.

Yeah, I guess I've been a bit over-cautious with toning down the language. I must still be paranoid over those early chapters where the characters would all casually swear for no reason.
