When it comes to Jojo, someone around here's going...
Balls deep.
Well, I tried to go "Soft and Wet", but somebody beat me out for that auction.

I've been on a bit of a JP kick lately, pretty psyched when this arrived today.
And yes, I'm going to open them all

But will you EAT them all?
And will it be all at once aka X-mas morning... or will you stagger it over the next few weeks?

oh god, no. The candy in the single egg I opened a week or so ago looked like it was supposed too, just old. I opened some of these eggs last night and it's gross. Mostly brown stuff with some brightly colored bits sticking out in here or there. Luckily it's sealed in the little packet and didn't get on the rubbery dino goodness. But will you EAT them all?

To answer your other question though, I stopped opening after I pulled one of each sculpt and I'm going to do one per day until they're all open (if I can restrain myself) I have some little clear bands that fit perfectly around the wrappers to "re-seal" them for the display without having to tape shut or anything.
But don't you want to know?
I want to taste the "delicious candy".

Along with the delicious botulism or maybe clostridium botulinum?
Though I did once eat hard candy from several holidays past and suffered no gut issue.
(Some Lifesaver rolls ended up in with the ornaments, and I was a little fatty...)
Welcomed currency: Rubber Uglies, rubber monsters, jigglers, vinyl monsters, Arco monsters, Imperial monsters, fish cans....

haha yeah I thought it was funny that they used that as such a selling point; there's not even that much candy in there. It's like 6 sweet tarts. The toy is obviously the main thing, but they're like "KIDS BUY THIS AWESOME CANDY oh and there's also a toy"
A few years ago I found a wax pack of Pacman cards with gum still inside and decided what the hell. It was like chewing on a piece of thin, mildly sweetened chalk. I had to spit it out.

I did the same thing with some Dinosaurs Attack! cards. It was like chewing sand.

Trying to resist ex-wife comment here...
We once drank some old cans of Billy Beer we found in a friend's garage. It had to be 10+ years old at that point. Nice buzz, no after effects. I've probably got a rusted boiler for a gut at this point, though.

They made Pac Man cards? I need this.

Bro, you collect Dinosaurs Attack! ? I have quite a few cards I could give you.

yeah, technically scratchers and stickers. Topps put them out in 82 I think. few series. I love scratcher trading cards.
some designs were pretty ridiculous
Dinosaur Attack was awesome, boxes are pretty cheap on eBay too, been thinking of getting one for a while to open up. My brother got a few packs when we were kids that I was pretty jealous of.

I don't have any, anymore. I got rid of them when my kid was in her "collage-making" phase... Well, I got rid of what was left, haha, made sure they found new homes.
A small envelope made it to me today, courtesy of my friend Tomokiyo...
(a surprisingly non-JJBA related entry)
The generational dots on the backs of these guys are actually embossed, this time around.

I have a complete set of Dinosaurs attack! that I bought off of eBay...was really cheap! I loved those cards as a kid, still do!
Annnyways...I have gotten a few good things in the mail the last few weeks, thought I would share a few. First off, I wanna give a big shout out to 2526b for hooking me up with the red dragon bootleg from Arco Fleetwood's Sword and Sorcerer line. Just sent it to me free of charge since I was into it...thank you sir!
I got the knock off Chap Mei "Hercules" playset for 7.50 shipped! I feel bad for the guy because his shipping label was for 7.23...anyways, I love these figures and now I have a nice (and GIANT) carded set.
Got a few more Chinasaurs for super cheap..like 3 bucks. The orange figure is a pretty rare Arco toy from a line called "stingers and wings"...they are basically a bug version of the sword and sorcerer figures. First one I have been able to find and buy.
The skeleton guys I found at a chuck e cheese type place in St. Louis that were being offered as prizes for game tickets...I bought all that they had. I have a few extra sets of the 8 sculpts if anyone is interested. They are very soft rubber, and I believe are bootlegs of a line called skull knights or skeleton soldiers.
I got a lot of gumball machine figures from a guy on eBay which included quite a few kinkeshi bootlegs as well as the more obscure panzer world galient keshi figures pictured. I have some duplicates in both lines if anyone is interested in those as well.
And finally, I broke down and bought one of the purple motuscle skeletor figures. It is so great...can't wait to get more when they go retail!

They are called Skeleton Warriors. My arcade has them too and I used them to make the Army of the Dead for Aragorn.

I love that Chap Mei fantasy stuff, man. Between Beast Raiders, Wizard Magic, and their other lines, I've got around 50 pieces.
If you are into the little skeletons, I have a boxed playset from the 90s I can show you....it's got a bunch of the skeletons plus a few homely Imperial-like dragons.
I was supposed to show you all my dinosaurs, wasn't I? I'll get on that. I've got close to 100, I suppose.
Love the Arcos and Chinasaurs, always. The whiskered pineapple monster, my favorite, used to get chewed on a lot back in the 70s.

And so, I instantly had a GIGANTIC MAIL DAY, as OMFG, this month's He-man, and another figure all came in the mail at once. The mailman didn't even wait for me, just knocked and dropped the huge pile on the doorstep. heh heh...
First up, Playmobil Martin Luther, he of the Protestant Reformation. The Reformation, which sounded the fnal death knell to Medievalism, spreading the Rinassance to the common man - widespread literacy, the printing press, the elevation of the common man from "secular and worthless" to "Dignified in the Image of God", as visible in such things as the paintings of the Dutch Masters (rather than merely painting surreal ible scenes or the Saints, Reformation-era artists chose to depict common people with dignity and honor). The desire to spread the Bible in vernacular languages led to an increase in education in general, ultimately leading to the Enlightenment, to so many freedoms... and Luther just thought he was holding a debate.
"Ein feste Burg is unster Gott."
As for the figure, it was originally only released in Wittenberg because of the upcoming 500th anniversary of the Reformation, but sold so well that it got a wide release, which also sold insanely well Martin Luther is the fastest-selling Playmobil figure ever.
And then, OMFG Series 4!
And finally, let's round it out with He-Man!
Callix, from the 200x mini-sub, steals the show as an incredibly imposing stone golem:
And then there's Peekablue, who has a peacock's tail, and cleavage:

Homer? Nah, more like Barney. Well of course it tasted like shit! We were dumbass knuckleheads having a ball.
I've been getting lots of stuff in the mail, especially since joining here, but I think I want to wait a bit for a photo spread.
We didn't hit the usual yard sale circuit yesterday because my wife wasn't feeling well. Later in the afternoon, she said she was feeling better and wanted to go to the book store. She came back with this stuff for me, totally out of the blue. Really made my day --
The Harryhausen book is filled with rare photos and interviews. I found myself flipping through it for nearly two hours last night, and even got a little misty-eyed at times.
Why isn't there Harryhausen keshi? We have things like Diener, but c'mon...
