The board holds an eternal grudge against it because we expected it to be like the anime (or at least somewhat close in tone to the G1 manga). Once it started getting officially translated, we realized that it wasn't and were deeply hurt.But Nisei is not available in English yet is it? It seems that everybody is just looking at the pictures and rolling they're eyes in disbelief every week without actually understanding whats going on...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly fond of Nisei either (compared to the orginal series) but it seems a little unfair to keep putting it down without having the complete picture.
This is where you tell me that it is being scanlated every week into English and I was the only person unaware!
That's also why the board talks about wanting to read All Chojin Dai Shingeki so often.

I hate the manga, but not in the sense that it is complete and utter crap. It is still entertaining to read. I just hate that my favorite characters are either complete douches or hardly in the manga at all (NO KEIKO FINGER ATTACK D8). The anime is superior, b-grade animation aside, and it holds the title for the first ever dub 4kids did right (imo, your millage may vary).Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly fond of Nisei either (compared to the orginal series) but it seems a little unfair to keep putting it down without having the complete picture.
Speaking of which... Any TvTrope users on this thread? I think the Nisei page needs a "Your Millage May Vary" trope. On what, send me a PM and I will explain. Also "Adaption Decay".

"Kinnikuman Nisei: All Chojin Dai Shingeki!" is the proper name for "V-jump Nisei".And the V-Jump Nisei mangas!

I actually ~LIKE~ the Nisei manga up until the Kevin/Kid matchup. After there... well, it just isn't as good.
I am thinking that it might be a blessing in disguise that the four kids ended it there.
Though now that most of Gen 1 is translated, I see that a LOT of really cool stuff was cobbled together out of things that happened during the first generation.

I agree Orgg. After Mantaro lost to Kevin, Ultimate Muscle's awesomeness started to decline with the Demon Seed arc. In my opinion, it was just a remake of Kinnikuman's 7 Devil Choujin arc, but with more a point to breaking up Meat and flashy bad guys; but that was it and they could've done better. The whole thing with Ashuraman was pretty lame; the guys kills his son who killed his wife and he feels he has to be a bad guy again because of that after 34 years of being good?!?!
But I feel they redeemed themselves in this current arc, but that's just me.

The manga was never awesome, ever. The manga came first, but the anime is where I enjoy the characters the most. Violence factor missing is a bit disappointing, but Keiko's Sexual Harassment Finger Strike is the greatest thing ever. IT MAKES MEAT QUIVER IN FEAR DAMN IT.

I havn't seen past the second volume of the Demon Seed, so I might turn out to like it, depending on where it goes... but so fart, it's not as good as the Chojin Crown arc.

Whoa!!! Kinnikuman's gonna kill himself despite all the Face Flashin' and mask swappin'; it looks like Kinnikuman's honor surpasses all of ours.
I did like Demon Seed, but I just feel that it could've been a lot better.

While I may regret this later, I'm willing to have a look at translating the chapter reviews. Perhaps you could copy and paste the reviews in Japanese, and I can look over them.
Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.
Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)
I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

I like the Demon Seed arc too, i think nisei manga was to be a "remake". I think the people with his 20's in the 80's would like to see again the same moves with a sory a little different

Well, he was supposed to remove his mask if The Machineguns lost, which they did, but Mantaro used a Face Flash and swapped the masks. How could Kinnikuman live with himself if he lets his honor be destroyed there? Also, he could just get 4 Lifeforce Spheres in the Choujin Graveyard.
