I picked up one Funko GPK Mystery Mini, hoping that it would be Adam Bomb.

AdamBomb.png

Yay!

Anyway, I also got my order in from Super7 - the full MOTUSCLE set.  And they threw in SDCC exclusive Purple Skeletor, and a Skeletoken, too!

The review this Wednesday will be glorious.

Saturday's haul.  I've done a lot better, but no complaints.  Fair day for dinosaurs.

Mail came in today, on Sunday.  The local post office is very weird here (I checked tracking.  It was delivered on SUNDAY).  it included an AC adapter, a movie, and a... Bucket of Monsters!  The included figures and terrain have been floating around for yearsunder names like Terrible Monster and Monster & Goblin - Frank at Little Weirdos has a writeup about them, too.  And yes, I am aware that I botched the terrain, and the cloth underneath is showing in a lot of pictures.  Tough.

The monster bucket came with:
-60 monsters (12 sculpts, 4 colors, distribution is really uneven)
-2 trees
-2 Stagecoaches
-2 Chests (broken)
-4 horses
-1 Castle

Everything is a really cheap, rigid plastic.  And those monsters... wow, Hieronymous Bosch would be proud.  They look like they came out of equal parts medieval Hell and 1950s drug trips.

Fantastic!  As usual, you have great taste in toys.  This guy is is a high ranking 70s badass -- He nearly smashed a huge plate glass window in my nursery school!  (ok, so  I nearly broke the window, but he helped...)

I have that same horse blanket, as well!     My dogs lay on them.

Got this cool Medusa figure made by ELC (Early Learning Centre), a UK toy company. It apparently came in a big castle playset called the Tower of Doom with a bunch of other mythology/fantasy monsters, but Medusa is the only one I've got. She looks good with the Chap Mei True Legends and Safari Medusas (she's the same size as those).

I've had that figure on my watch list for a couple weeks now.  Can't resist a gorgon. It s funny that two different china sellers have that figure in quantities, but no one has any of the other characters at all.

Agreed! I was wondering what the deal with that was. I probably would have bought a couple of the other monsters too (like the Cyclops) if they were selling them.

This has been a great week for my toy shelf! I got a score on every front: craigslist, offerup, ebay, and instagram (just missing LRG). I got everything from Freakies cereal premiums to laser beasts. Also a big warm fuzzy to the toy store Thetoysociety in Ontario Canada for a big box of free toys (via Instagram).

August is the best: Birthday, Anniversary, and tons of toys :)

The doll is Vivi from FF and he was in the bottom of a really gross bin at a flea market (my hands were so gross after there)

The Krangs I just got a bunch of brains this week but that is the best part of him anyhow!

Earthworm Jim and his little extra worm head!

4 freakies for $4!!!

A couple of TMNT sidekicks too! If anyone has extras they want to trade let me know!

Just too many to mention.

No joke it took me a long time to clean them up, one or two of them looked like an animal ate them and pooped them out. There was also a black minor mole in the group which was one of the poopy ones but I left him out of the photo. For what I paid the deal was 100% worth it though. I don't intend to collect mint LBs these guys will do the job!

Tell me about it! I got them on IG and when I threw them in deal with the snake head for snake mountain I couldn't see them clear enough in the rough photo taken. I thought one of them was one eye joe the TMNT sidekick. When they arrived though I instantly knew and was happy as a clam.

This month has been insane for the He-Man subscriptions:  Two figures in the regular sub, one figure and an accessory pack in the 200X mini-sub.  And THEN... my sister sent me a belated birthday present, which was a He-Man figure (and one I had my eyes on for a while.  She must be psychic!)

Firstly, from the regular sub, there's Buzzsaw Hordak - basically, normal Hordak, except his chest opens up and he has a buzzsaw.

Hordak.png

BTW, don't try to pry the chest open on your regular Hordak.  It... goes badly.

Hordak-Heart.png

Next up is Mara, who came from the spinoff series - and thus, she's a space warrior from the far future in a distant galaxy.  This is why she fights with a spear, shield, and spiked ball in her hair.

Mara.png

From the 200X mini-sub, we have Evil-Seed.  The original 1980s Evil-Seed had an artichoke for a head.  This is an improvement.

Evilseed.png

The other item is a "heads" pack - basically, spare heads for characters whose appearance in the 200X series differed greatly from the 1980s series.

Heads.png

But don't worry!  Even without the appropriate bodies, I can make these heads work!

PRESENTING:

Elefor, Evil Elephantine Horde Warrior

Heads-Elephant.png

Drake-Man, Draego-Man's Cousin:
Heads-Draego.png

And, uh... Butter-Face, Evil Ex-Girlfriend:

Heads-Butterface.png

And finally, we have Fearless Photog.  Designed by a 13-year-old kid int he 1980s, Photog was the winner of a Create-A-Character contest.  Sadly, the promised toy was never made... until 2012!
FearlessPhotog.png

He has an adjustable lens, a movie camera for a gun, a flashbulb shield, and a lenticular image on his chest.
