Nice pic, rid!

Over at OT someone is reporting that the figures - save for Multiskull - have their arms glued on. In other wards, the arms were cast separetely and attached later via glue. I wasnt expecting that... I hope the glue job is high quality. Ive gotten some custom minifigs with hastily glued on parts, and im not a big fan.

I should have a first hand look some time this week. In the meantime, what say you, rid?

The top of Crawdad's head is glued on, his arms don't appear to be.

The Roof and arms of Outhouse are glued.

And Strolls arms are glued on.

Pretty good job I think. You can tell that the arms are glued on, but they aren't sloppily done necessarily. You can tell fairly immediately on Stroll, and outhouse with the arms.

I like the plastic used the most. Nice firm plastic, but not hard plastic. So they have some slight bend to em.

Here is a MUSCLE comparison pic:

They vary in height, both below and well above MUSCLE height. They all have a lot more mass, though, and are generally bigger and heavier.

My main concern with the cut/glued parts was aesthetics, but now that ive got them in hand i can say that its absolutely no problem at all! The fact has no effect on the look and feel of the figures at all.

The sculpts are absolutely amazing! They are are gorgeous little figgies. Really. Each one is bursting with character! If you havent read Ralph Niese's comic on the Glyos blog, do so. Now.

And im with urs, the pvc used for these guys feels great! Nice and firm, but a tad flexible. They have a nice weight to them as well.

This little homegrown toy line is a big fat WIN. Im already getting excited for S2. I can see this toy line going for a while. (So long as the sculpts continue to be of such a freaking high quality at such an affordable price. Wow!)

Haha, no. Honestly wasn't thinking of that fig at all. That one is fine. Nice cut and solid, well placed glue job.

I was actually thinking of the Bits N Bots figs. Some of them are glued on (slightly) crooked and it is noticeable. Takes away from the fig IMO. :(

Namakeshi and omfg! are just fine though!

Ha. I had mine for a few hours and was playing with them before I noticed they weren't 1 piece.

I have no complaints about the glue job or fit.

Awesome review!!!

Anyway, I did a basic wear and tear stress test - put a Phantom Outhouse in my pocket, went to work. Checked it later. No visible strain on the arms or glue!

Excellent review, Rid. Thanks for gathering all that info into one place. I especially like the info about the creators of each piece. I follow Ralph Niese on flickr and Dory on his blog, and Monsterforge and Geprge on OT, but now I can stalk follow the other guy, Evil Earwig, too. :)

Oh, yeah, and I twatted your review as well. :)

there are red ones, but they will be sold by the individual artist that came up with them. Not as a set.
