Yeah, very cool to help out fellow collectors like that! I only need the four that are exclusive to the three packs. I am incredibly tempted to buy one of your sets and just trade the extras or something, but I think I'm going to force myself not to as I am trying to not spend a lot of money right now. Hopefully I will still be able to find those four somewhere.

I would have done this sooner but I wanted to give time for them to be distributed better, I was kind of lazy and thought "why should I go to the hassle when their stores will get them in a few weeks anyway", but it's been months now and I recently saw Entertainment Earth updating their series 2 info, so it looks like some people may not get wave 1 in their areas after all.

After getting several messages here and on my youtube channel from people asking me to help them out, I bought all the rest of series 1 that I could find and am selling them for cost plus shipping on ebay.

How much did you buy those for?

He explains in the cost in the youtube clip. Can't blame him for having to add on ebay and paypal fees. If I didn't already work out getting wave 1, I'd be willing to pay $40 on ebay.

Very cool of you, James. I still feel sick for the guy that paid $90 for 16 single packs.

Thanks, to you and everyone else, it's really no problem. I'm a collector too and I know how frustrating bad distribution can be.

What sucks most about the person who paid $90 for the box of single packs, is that they probably didn't realize the exclusives were not included in them and that they would only get the 8 commons. I can just imagine them buying it saying to themselves "oh but it's worth it, I'll get the whole set this way", they were probably really disappointed once they realized that they wouldn't.

To answer Username, who was asking about how much I paid. I explained it in the video but here it is again:

Retail is $10 per 12 pack and $4 per 3 pack. I'm selling complete sets so we have a base retail cost of $26 per set. Sales tax bumps it up to $27.50. Ebay and paypal commission fees are 13% so that adds $3.57. There are also listing fees so now we're at $32. I know I could do this cheaper by not going through eBay, but I've just been ripped off too many times by anonymous forum people and I think the security of eBay is worth it. It empowers and protects both parties, especially the buyer. Shipping adds the rest, it's calculated on where you live. For the three I've sold so far, the final price has all been under $39 even though they're getting priority shipping, so that's really not that much more than retail. To buy all 5 sets I also had to spend gas money driving to the Toys R Us that's far away, because the one closest to me didn't get as many and was sold out.

I hope you and Jason continue hooking people up as well, because there are a lot of people who want these, and I only have 2 left. This is all I can do. There are no more in my area after this, and to get more I'd probably have to drive to the Toys R Us that's an hour and a half away.

Good to see they are selling so you'll get your money back quickly. I wouldn't be able to put myself in the hole like that, definitely not for 5 full sets anyway.

Username was my trade hookup for a 12 pack and an October Toys member got the 3 packs for me. It's awesome that you guys are willing to go through the trouble to do this for people.

That's awesome! As soon as I read this I went over to buy one but all 5 sold...still cool knowing that you hooked up 5 people...here's to hoping Jakks actually sends more out of series 1, because I can tell you as a collector that if they don't i won't bother with the rest of the line.

Yeah, they went a bit faster than I expected.

I feel bad because there's this guy on youtube who has been asking me from the start and really seemed to want them, and when I put them up I told him first. He was all excited transferring money into his paypal account to buy a set but now he's not going to be able to.

I know I said in the video I wasn't going to get any more, but next time I go to my grandparents' house I'll stop by the TRU near them and see if I can get a few more sets. One for you, seekingxar, and also one for that guy on youtube. Hopefully I can find some there. I haven't looked in that TRU yet.

Or maybe Username or Jason can help find some for you.

Ah thanks James, I really wasn't asking you to go back on your word and buy more but since you offered :) I'm always minutes late it seems with these, when Entertainment Earth restocked the 12 pack and it said in stock, I called to order and the guy said we just sold the last 1.

We just had it roll back to 8% but it was 9% and they are trying to raise it again. Gas is the worse though. The cheapest gas (87 octane) is $4.09 now and that is only the cash price. Add another .10 a gallon if you want to use debit/credit card.

sales tax here in CA on average is 7.5% (no tax on food). In some larger city areas like LA, i know the sales tax can go up as much as to 9%.

There is tax on food, just not snack type stuff. Everything else is taxable. It's confusing though because some places stopped charging tax on any cold food, like Subway was not charging tax on cold sandwich's but then they started taxing now.

I went to a TRU/Target/Walmart that was 30-40 minutes away and I still came up empty handed. Was hoping to atleast find the single packs, but no. Don't look like they will be hitting areas around me. I got a set of stores I check that are about 10 minutes away, so the other set of stores was out of the way. Used up a quarter of gas getting there and back.

There is another set that I can check, but its only Target and Walmart, might give them a go soon. Atleast they are only like 15 mins away.
