Looks like old age is catching up with our favourite masked felon. Or something related.

Considering this arc has gone on for about about 1,000 years*, old age had to rear it's ugly head sooner or later.

Right, that does it. Thunder & Ligutning are AWFUL villains. Here is a rundown.

They beat the shizznit out of every single one of the original Seigi Chojin at the start of the arc.
They systematicly hand every team they have come across their asses.
They kill SATAN in TWO ATTACKS.
They take Neptuneman to school.
They kill Mammothman.
They are totally unaffected by any attacks used on them. Swords through the chest? Tis but a scratch to Thunder. Swords through everyone else? they are practicly dead.
What next? they gonna kill all the princes?

All the while characters are probably saying they cant believe how powerful they are. Like when Meat was watching them decimate all the Seigi Chojin at the start of the arc. Mary Sue villains. Chaos is also a mary sue. Whole arc is full of mary sues. If it turns out that they are Chaos im just going to stop reading full stop.

Btw, Chaos and Thunder have the same hair color...

Btw guys, Phoenix and the other princes COULD exist a this point. The Chojin gods noticed the threat of Kinnikuman shortly after his victory at the tag tournament and after they aprahended Neptune King. They instantly set out to find the princes. I would say they have had loads of time to awaken all of the princes since the start of the tournament. The hooded figure could be Phoenix and if it is, you guys cant complain because i just gave the only explination needed.

Agreed. Aside from the Satan-slicing part, T&L's actions and accomplishments have IMO been par for the course for Big Bads/main arc villains. Like it or not, Brocken/Geronimo/Terry the Kid are jobbers/second-stringers. Given the sheer length of this arc, three (?) consecutive victories, the first arguably being a squash match, does not strike me as unreasonable at all.

As for the effects of sword impalement, remember the Mantaro vs. Ricardo fight (or should I say bloodbath)? Remember how Mantaro was fit as a fiddle a day or two afterwards, while "New Mantaro"'s skirmish with The Constellation put him out of commission for nearly two weeks? Blades only hurt when Yude want them to (which is to say, less than half the time).
