Sadly, the Tag arc only introduces four characters...and two of them are uber cool. (and neither, at least now, are Kendaman and Screw Kid)

That's what really irritates me. Everyone loves to talk about how awesome that arc was, but in reality they're just praising Neptuneman and Big the Budo. Everyone seems to ignore how blasted slow the arc is. I remember while reading through Muscle Brothers vs. 4D Fusion, I kept thinking "this fight STILL hasn't ended?".

It's an awful, awful arc. Luckily, the Throne Arc actually has backstory to fill in the space with, so it doesn't drag nearly as much.

I think the slowness of this arc probably explains the way that the current tag arc in Nisei is going at an even slower pace...as if "snails-pace" isn't bad enough. We'll see soon enough I guess, but I think that Neptuneman/Big the Budo are just so cool that people forget about the negatives that this arc ends up causing.

Agreed! I like the arc too. But it's nothing compared to the Throne Arc. It's the best arc ever!!

But I liked Kendaman and Screw Kid. ;__;

Well, people liked that arc mostly for Neptuneman and Big the Budo, which is understandable because they are pretty cool.

Though the rest of the arc was just one big mess, I agree.

Not like Sunshine was ever the most politically correct of Choujin. When you're a sand-man (who for some reason, as the end of the fight shows, has a humanoid skeleton underneath), race and ethnicity means nothing to you.

The skeleton was completely left field. OUTTA NOWHERE. Just like the eye-patch in the next series, never explained, but just there...

G2 Anime never revealed the empty socket like the manga, but damn it made it look cool. :3 ...old!Sunshine = Big Boss?

So...what does Bermuda III have to do with this chapter?

Anyhow, I've been working too, trying to finish vol. 15 before I move on to other projects I guess.

There probably are a ton of Choujin we could have used to maybe add a couple more opponents, but that...would be filler. (unless it's an arc that really needs them)

So I'm translating and there's a ton of honorifics in it Suguru complains about how they never called him Kinnikuman-San since he was the new candidate for Planet Kinniku's throne. Every time meat's mentioned they call him Meat-Kun, Bibimba calls Suguru "Suguru-Sama". Terryman and Warsman are all called "The Terryman" and "The Warsman". I listened to the audio in the Throne Arc anime and they say names with "The" in them. I think I'm gonna leave every single honorific in it. I translated so much that I'm used to seeing it sorta like Naruto how they left them in it I like it it gives you the real atmosphere of the series how it was supposed to be. I know Tash doesn't like honorifics but I do now, so when you start doing my Arc I want everything in it.

By the way, I got the Ramenman and Scrap Sandayuu sets in the mail a few days ago. Ramenman man is nice it's 12 Volumes, well half of all the characters from Kinnikuman resemble in Ramenman. Like character look-a-likes and such, The main character's a King and his face looks like Kinnikuman Super Phoenix. Stan Hansen is in it too if you don't know who he is he's a legendary American wrestler who's also a big time legend in Japan. You got some dude who uses a "Tennis Racket" as a weapon and others who throw darts and feathers it's like Bruce Lee meets Kinnikuman.

Scrap Sandayuu is also really nice it's only 2 Volumes. I wouldn't go as far as saying that its an actual manga with chapters cause it doesn't look like that at all. It's more of a manga with short stories to be honest, Scrap's name is "Sagawa" kinda funny since in Kinnikuman the lead character was named "Suguru". Warsman is in it at the 2 final chapters and it shows whats left of the "Justice Choujin Museum". Apparently the Justice Choujins all died and the rest of the world was dependent on robots.

I know Knuxie would be happy to know that; Warsman is a drunk it shows him drinking beer and slobbering all over himself. He's admitting without the Justice Choujins that hes just a washed up Fighting Computer with no purpose in life. He does fight though cause Scrap and him go to battle with a demonic soda machine that wants to crush them like tin cans. And Warsman breaks out his "Bear Claw". It's basically its own world Scrap has the "Burning Inner Strength" but his head is a bucket so when it's time for him to use it a "Karate Suit", that his "Master" put inside the pale it comes out like an egg and he jumps in the air and wears it like Ramenman. Like how Ramenman puts on his suits with the 5 arts of him putting it on.

Scrap is basically one of those type of manga's that's just for the hell of it. It has so many sexual references in it it shows the penis of Scraps maker peeing in a bush. One of the robots has a massive "D*ck and Balls" hanging from it and Scrap hangs on to them to save his life. There's a part where his robot friend kisses him and his ass opens up and shoots out all of this confetti. It has a lot of bondage and boobage in it and the girls are meant to look like sluts. For the most part I think this was made for the adults instead of kids cause of all the sexual references and explicit nature of Yudetamago's fascination with genitals on it. It might have been a one shot to many, But I seriously believe it was worthy enough to be a nice series.

One another part of Scrap it shows one of the people in the story get murdered. And his tomb stone says in small English letters "Here Lies a F-ucking Piece of S-hit" like if their telling you they hated that character. It's basically everything and anything that these 2 can come up with for a spin-off after everyone in Kinnikuman died. All and all I love it, It's F-ucked up and makes no sense but in "Yudetamago's Logic" It's perfectly fine cause with them you always expect a cliffhanger.

That Sandayu just seems like it was Yudetamago trying to break out of Kinnikuman mode but failing miserably...that's probably why it lasted 2 volumes. (as if the original would have been canceled in "Ultraman parody" period)

I should have put these up yesterday but I was just too lazy somehow. So anyway:
-Chp. 191: Ashuraman, Ashuraman, doing things that an Ashura can: http://mangahelpers..../releases/11194
-Chp. 192: You know a Hell's Missionaries made up of Buffaloman and Sunshine would have been neat, but then...: http://mangahelpers..../releases/11195

No worries, I went through the same crap too. (it's the part where the duo are arguing and Suguru tries to take advantage of her getting in that fight with her boyfriend) Though I wonder: considering how they shooed me away from the early stuff that was already done by TW, what are you doing it for?

The fact that he lists his location as "Brazil" is probably a pretty good hint. He mentioned he was translating the series into Portuguese way back on the first page the original "Japanese Translator for the Kinnikuman Manga?" thread. (although I thought they were already up to volume 3 or 4)

Chapter 184: Geronimo takes up a slot on the team that could have been filled by a real Chojin, like Canadianman.

Oh yeah...forgot about the Portugese project. Sorry about that.

And no, Canadianman isn't a real Choujin. He was more saving Geronimo's slot than the other way around.

Heh. I remember way back when we were doing volume 3, you used to defend the guy. It looks like his irritating personality is enough to make anyone hate him.

Chapter 185: I actually have a lot to say about this chapter that can't be summed up in one line for once.
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=CB8XKR1C

First of all, it's irritatingly obvious that this chapter was recycled in Nisei, only with Kevin Mask and a guy made of Legos.

Second, Sunshine's nonchalant "yeah, that doesn't work on me, so give it back", followed by his sudden spazzing out when he dropped it was the hardest I've laughed at this manga since the Sneagator fight. I love Sunshine.

Third, I've been meaning to say this for a while, but I'm getting sick of the Devil Knights' habit of constantly reminding everyone that they're from hell. They seem to work the word "hell" into as many sentences as they can. (or in Sunshine's case, just naming his attacks "Hell <thing he turns into>") The Seven Devils never did that.

Anyhow, I finally went out an got a new mouse, so working on these chapters doesn't cramp my hand anymore. Full speed ahead!

I defended Canadianman? I thought I was more making fun of him back then amidst all that. (I defend Canada, that loser doesn't really deserve it)

I think the hell bit for the Devil Knights is more "look at how evil we are, cause we're from hell and we have the hell tour". The Devil Choujin didn't care cause they were more or less could have been on any side and chose to be evil. These six are just the big guns and they probably pride being from hell.

And yes, Geronimo taking out Sunshine...hardcore. (even with his...sand skeleton) But I still hate the whole annihilation of the "Riddle of the Sphinx" Yudetamago decide to do just to claim they themselves made that riddle up.

I liked it, due to how surreal the whole thing was. They're talking about a password and something only the Gold Mask would know, so you'd expect it to be... well, anything besides that. Then the answer turns out to randomly be "chojin" instead of "man". It was just so weird that I couldn't help but laugh at it.

That's obviously not the level it was meant to work on, but it sure amused me.

I guess it worked for you but it didn't work for me. I know the superiority of Choujin over humans in this world, but I wonder whether Yudetamago just randomly decided to introduce kids to the Greek myths with this bit...or if they just wanted to thrust it in our faces yet again: only Choujin matter, humans are just...well, like Geronimo.
