I probably would have voted for Cloak, Dagger, Madam Hydra, Beast, and Havok.
Also I would love a White Tiger figure but the orginal not the new much hotter version (although I still might buy her too)

is that a colonel america from marvel zombies in the top left corner? if so, i'd much like to see all of the marvel zombies in marvel universe form.
It's Vance Astro from Guardians of the Galaxy.
And, here is another shot of the poster.

I'm rather assuming that this is a type of Market research and as such it's looking bad for the cosmic characters although it's kinda of stacked. Like Alpha Flight there is a lot of choices and they probably ended up splitting votes. So even if people would like to see more of the cosmic side I might want Firelord the next guy might want Drax the Destroyer. Also it seems like a rather poor selection of villians to vote for. A couple I like but not enough to garner a top five vote from me, except for Madam
Hydra.

I'm very unsure about the poll in general though. I'm uncertain if they intended that the exact pictured versions of each characters were going to be made. But I am pretty confident that within the next few years we will see a good portion of these characters in plastic form. I just think this poll method was severely unconfined. Maybe next time they will do what they did for the Legends this year and actually have some prototypes to vote for.
As for the top 5 chosen, Hit and miss with me. Archangel, Havok, and Mystique are a must! In fact I'm such a fan of these 3 characters I wouldn't mind having multiple variations, and costume changes.
Especially Mystique cause she looked great in every outfit she was ever drawn in. Archangel in a couple color variations, with and without hood, and in his Angel uniform. I also was a huge fan of the X-Factor team in the 90's, so I'd love to get Havok in his jacketed uniform.
I don't care for MJ unless they make her look great, and I don't really know alot about Winter Soldier. Though he looks like he would be a sick figure.
Do they deserve their spots? I think Archangel and Mystique have always been stand out characters, and for sure these two make the most sense. I didn't realize Havok had that many fans though.
Who do you think the 6th and 7th figures will be?
Sadly the 6th and 7th figures will probably be Paper Bag Spidey and Gwen Stacey. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how I'm calling it. If it wasn't for those 2, I'd say Beast and Storm. I'd rather more diverse characters to be made myself, as the core characters will definitely get figures.
So who would I have voted for? I dunno, it would have been really hard for me to just pick 5. I know who I wouldn't have picked for sure. My choices would have been narrowed down to these characters first. Vance Astro, Archangel, Lilandra, Gladiator, Domino, Mystique, Dazzler, Polaris, Captain Britain, Storm, Psylocke, and Jocasta. Next time maybe it should be a pick 10 or more Poll.

And who would I buy out of these 70? Well probably all of them if I can. Me and my brother used to have all the Marvel Universe Handbooks when we were kids, so I became a fan of tons of characters, even those I never read about in comics before. Of course there are many out of this pick I'd have been less thrilled with, but it still would have been cool.

So how about we also give our bottom five.
For me
Spot, Starlord, Binary, Beyonder, and Paper Bag Spider-Man

I hope they do not make any civilians. Because once that starts happening, we'll all be complaining about them not dedicating enough resources to superheroes!!! A J. Jonah Jameson fig??!! UGGHHH.....
You bite your tongue sir. Jameson has had several excellent figures over the years and they had better not stop making them here.

Seriously, i believe i actually own three different Jamesons. Sometimes, like in the case of the movie line, they're the only figure i'll even buy from a series. I don't see the hatred for civilian figs, as in a well-written comic they are often just as good character-wise as the heroes/villains. If i were to name a...well, probably not a top 10, but a top 20 for sure, for my favorite comic book characters of all time, Jameson would definitely make the list, as would Alfred. Hands-down. Extend it to a top 25 and you'd probably get Commissioner Gordon in there too.
So yeah in the poll MJ would've definitely had my vote. My other four would've been Dazzler, Dormammu (one of the only reasons i'm still clinging to the 90's collection), Luke Cage, and Archangel.

I think civilian characters are great......as promotional items. Even maybe as included in a playset (Gwen Stacy w/ bridge, oops too soon). I don't think I want to pay the nine dollars for the majority of non hero/villian figures. How long before they try to get me to buy a Willie Lumpkin figure.
I think i may just be way more of a gigantic marvel geek than other people in here...cause i'd be tempted to buy that.
Right now my Thing figure isn't getting his fan mail.

On another note.. I got super bored, and decided to do a huge image search on the net to try and piece together an exact replica of the 70th ann poll chart. Sadly I am still missing 15 images, which I can't find at all. So if anyone can find them, has them, or can scan em for me that would be awesome!

Still need:

Crystal
Fantomex
Luke Cage
Hellcat
Beast
Hyperion
Quasar
Captain Britain
Red Guardian
The Hood
Psylocke
Beyonder
Speed Demon
Madame Hydra
Vindicator

out of the wave 5 figures i was able to pick up, i think electro is my favorite. dammit, there's just something about him that i love. my least favorite is now silver centurion iron man. don't get me wrong, i love iron man. but i realized something today when i was setting up my figures. i've got six effing iron mans. i'm always bee-eye-itching about how many stupid spider man figures there are. why not start bee-eye-itching about iron man? worst part is, there's still one more iron man i will end up getting because he's packed with a giant battler. dammit! seven iron man figures! and more to come i'm sure! damn you hasbro. may you perish in flames. these sneaky effers have kept us worried about their waves of spider man crap for so long we didn't even see them pulling money out of our wallets and replacing it with pallet swapped iron man sculpts. it's time we started getting some fresh stuph. no more hulks, no more iron mans, no more spider-mans, no more wolverines, no more captain americas. give us something new!

Im has Extremis, Extremis Stealth (radical color swap), classic, classic Ditko (diffrent helmet), and Silver Centurian who is my
fave. Iron Man so far. I can't remember which version came with the 70th anniversary pack. Plus I found somebody to
trade my regular classic Iron Man so when I get SW I don't have a double.

3 with the Modern Iron Man Body Type (Modern Wave 1, Stealth Wave 1, and Centurion Wave 5.
New Extremis body coming out early next year or so.
So we have 7 now, and 8 by next year, followed by many color variations and running changes I'm sure in the same year.

in the new toy fare they were talking to the guys at hasbro or something about iron man 2 and the huge amount of figures they've got planned. from that article, i would feel confident in telling you to dedicate an entire shelf for iron man. spider man is going to be the least of our problems early next year.

Bucky looks pretty cruddy to me... and may be out of scale with Cap. Cap reuses the Cap body, where as I think he should have had an all new one. Widow looks okay, but I don't see her wigs in the pack. I wonder if Hasbro is gonna try to pull that chase figure crap with her instead. I don't really like the shiny paint washes. Luke is alright, but his pants don't look right.
Thor looks pretty rad though, all new sculpt with new articulation points.

Right now I am still really wanting to find those Wave 6 variants, and eagerly waiting to find me a Secret Wars Thor, Ultron, and Hawkeye.
You guys think the Fury figure will be re-offered? I just think offering a super popular character like Nick Fury only through a Mail away/Subscription is a bit odd. I have a feeling we will at least get a repackaged variant sometime soon. I bet they will try that again this year with Norman Osbourne...who personally I can live without.
