I am only offering these in complete sets and I'm limiting it to 2 sets per person.

Got mine today, mate! Thanks so much. Piece of cake. Super fast shipping and excellent packaging. The toy packages are in mint condition. Thanks!

As to the SZs themselves; they're great and they have a real 80's early 90's feel to them. I really do like them. Now I'm dying to know who the sculptors are and what else they've worked on. I think I can see some differences in the sculpting between the figs. It could be my imagination, but a few of the sculpts catch my eye a little more than the others, and I think they may have been sculpted by the same person and the other sculpts by different sculptors.

Oh, and to those complaining about the smell... I like it! It smells like toys to me, haha.

It's weird, I opened up mine after I read everyone commenting about the smell and I hardly noticed anything!

Smelled like a cross between original M.U.S.C.L.E. smell and kinkeshi smell. Very familiar!

Same here. I've opened all 3 types of packaging and didn't notice much of a smell at all. Nothing now that they've been opened for awhile.

I'm hoping my pre-order from EE for S2 actually comes through this month. Anxious to hear that S2 is showing up in stores and maybe seeing some chase figures.

I honestly don't think there will be ANY chase figures.

If you go by the numbers and how they release the waves there is no room to stick chase figures anywhere. Seems like the survivors will be packaged just like all the zombies. Buy 4 three packs and a coffin for a full wave. For chasers to work wave two would need 16 zombies but it only has 12 zombies and 4 survivors. So i don't see there being anything to chase. The glow-in-the-darks only come as a bonus in the carry case as well so again no chasing them down.

well chase figures are usually randomly inserted so they could just take the place of a normal figure. if in fact they are doing these. we'll have to see as time goes on.

SLUG link
The dude in this clip makes it sound like they will eventually throw out chase color versions of the figures. Sounds like you can spot them in the packaging too, so maybe in the 3 packs.

Same here, I'm really looking forward to Wave 2 (and I don't even have all 16 from Wave 1 yet). I also have them on order from EE and they occasionally send update emails that get me all excited thinking they've shipped, only to see they're just telling me they're still on pre-order.

Thanks Jkaris and Soupie. I'm glad you got your packages fast and safely. It's also good to hear the thoughts / first impressions on SLUG from some people who have been into this hobby for a while.

Hopefully this line will begin to take off later in the year. If Squinkies can become as big as they did, I don't see why SLUG couldn't succeed as well.

I think it has a great chance of succeeding assuming they get distribution in order. They were very wise to begin with zombies since kids (and everyone really) loves zombies these days.

I agree, this line will fail if they do not fix the distribution.

Does anyone have any professional/educated insight into why wave one has not had a wider distribution? Has anyone tried contacting Jakks to ask? Is it simply that they are overwhelmed with demand, and thus don't have the stock for a wider distribution? Are we just being "impatient?" Is the stock available in certain locales merely part of a planned "test run" to gauge interest, with full distribution of wave one to come next? (LG has suggested this at OT.)

Finally, this makes me wonder of MUSCLE and the SRs. I think it was TGB who always said the SRs were part of a limited "test run" and then were not included when MUSCLE went national. I'd never seen this happen with a toy line until SLUG Zombies came along.

Who knows, if/once wave one goes national, maybe there will be some changes. New sculpt, missing sculpt, sculpt tweaks... it will be cool to follow the line to see if there are any tweaks.changes as distribution widens. Some people have already noted black numbers/letters on some of their figures. Only one figure in my batch had the black printed digits.

A few folks have emailed Jakks, and received the typical BS response, if any response at all.

As far as the distro on these, I'm thinking that there are clerical things going on behind the scenes, involving the retail outlets, that is holding this up.

For some reason 1 figure in every type of packaging has the black numbers. So every mystery blind pack figure has it. Decayin' Dom has it on the bottom of the waste drum in the 12 pack. I can't remember which figure in each of the 3 packs has the numbering, but it's none of the four that are exclusive to the 3 packs. I think it was Corrording Kid, Braineating Brandon, Decayin' Dom, and maybe Jon B. Gone.

The big problem is that the line quite obviously appeals to OUR generation with ever figure being a pop culture reference from years if not decades ago BUT the distribution(what little there is)is geared towards places that sell mostly to little kids. These things should be flooding comic shops and hot topics and videogame stores all over the place. Not just toys r us.

I've thought about it, but I haven't done it yet. I think I was discouraged reading somewhere that people who tried were receiving no answers or BS answers (as ironmask just said).

If any one is interested, have three 12 packs up for grabs. Local comic shop actually had em in stock, grabbed up what I could. Packs are unopened, I'm just asking for their sale price + whatever shipping may be (they were $8 a 12 pack).

If anyone is interested, feel free to pm me :)
