Got some Snailiens today. I'm not really into the figures themselves, but the minis are on point!

I've never seen the companions up close! Those things are incredible.

They are pretty awesome and even with the bulky shells the figures themselves are great. I am only missing one more companion!

An epic GID Vinyl Totim made it into my Fortress of Fangs today sent by the creator himself.

This is sculpted by Tim Clarke of Boglins fame..
(As well as creating the Sectaurs and working with Jim Henson on The Dark Crystal)

zx5no2.jpgrhqtrk.jpg
He was even gracious enough to sign the card for me.

Ran across an interesting interview with him explaining the Boglins origins and history. Pretty compelling stuff if you're a fan of his work..

Oooooh you got those! It makes me happy to know someone on LRG picked those up. Both of Rid's unknown anime toy sellers had a variety of those recently, and I even watched the auctions on some of the Ryotaro transformations for a bit before I realized I didn't care enough to bite the bullet. Deneb would've been damn cool with his Deneb candy though...

I got the special King Hssss figure - basically, the snakey torso was promised last year as, "you already paid for it, it's free to all subscribers," and then MAttel dropped the ball, denied that they ever placed those ads )which exist, you can find them), and packed it with extra pieces as a figure that costs money. There was fighting.  Better Business Bureau complaints. All sorts of rigaarole. In the end, we got our toy - delayed because of QC errors, costing money but with a bunch of extras, and.. .well, here it is.  Sad thing is, a lot of insanity could have been avoided if they had been open in their communication - Mattel had, under a month previous, trumpeted "Transparency! Openness!" as their new philosophy, and then went opaque and dodgey.Ah, well.

To make it brief, I understand that the torso slipping out of the budget was a mistake.  If Mattel had owned up to said mistake, they could have charged us and... it would have been okay.  That said, their design team really did try to give us our $20 worth, with the extra legs, the head, and the TON of really awesome weapons.  Also, I appreciate the QC fixes for things like the China stamp ont he prototype's chest.  I am not entirely happy with how the situation was handled, but in the end we did get a good toy.

I hit up the Greater Seattle Area toy show this past saturday. Kind of disappointing; lots of Hot Wheels and 50's toys, but found a few gems.

Attached File  PSX_20160321_124248.jpg   110.56K   16 downloads

Only one booth that had a few little plastic tubs of LRGs to dig through, which I did before realizing homeboy's prices were all over the map. There were about 12 incomplete Army Ants, a few GB companions, some MASK figures. Firm $2 each on the ants, $4-5 on everything else, but the pictured Glow Turtle was $3

Another dealer was selling these space alien mono figures, which I learned are from the T. Cohn Inc. Captian Video Superior Space Port from the 50's. Pretty cool bits of history, and plastic is very lightweight. The dealer had the atomic space cannon too, but it was pretty pricey.

Attached File  PSX_20160321_131034.jpg   162.85K   16 downloads

So, now I have some new "oldest" figures in my collection; there were some other sculpts that I kind of wish I had picked up as well; unfortunately all of the humans had lost their sweet space helmets (below).

Small Japan lot. Thanks to Ridureyu for the tip. They reek of mold/mildew, but should dissipate with a good cleaning, plus time.

Had this FFVIII Cerberus in my shop for a while now so I decided to open it and put it on display. Loved this series of toys. Only flaw is that the feet are very unstable. Also came with Rinoa's pet dog Angelo

I went to check the mail the other day and what did I find...?

Why, the copy of Bikkuriman Genga Daizen I ordered off of eBay of course!

ys4hsxA.png

This book is a beefy little tome packed with over 400 pages of reproductions of sticker art, character designs, and WIP sketches...

mDomomK.png

T51iXV3.png

N29bJRG.png

yBa4iTa.png

oBe6MG6.png

QsSvnk5.png

And you even get an exclusive prismatic Bikkuriman sticker!

dqPBwxC.png

For $25 this was a hell of a great find.  And considering that it's "used" it's in fantastic condition!  Now if only there was a similiar book for Neclos Fortress...

This is the only collectible from the new movie that I've wanted. I've been checking The Disney Store for the last couple months, and they finally had a few in stock today. Judging by the price drops on ebay, I'd guess stores everywhere have these in stock again.

This is HIGH on my want list. Plan on ordering one once I move apartments in May. For the time being I have one of the issues of the Bikkuriman magazine that has pictures of all of the main series stickers.

God the exclusive sticker in that book is glorious!

So my distributor had these on clearance and I had to order them for myself. Ever since the 1980s I have wanted an Elvira Stand Up; now I have to make room in my very small and cluttered office.

That is Namegon and Kanegon.

I just found out that they are part of this set.  The seller had the other 3 as well.  I tend to only go for kaiju with weird eyes, but in hindsight -- given the prices -- I wish I would have gone or the full set.
