Okay I am completely new to this but I am already really enjoying reading this thread.
I am trying to keep up but it's a little tough for now, as soon as I am done reading some other Kinnikuman content I will jump on this thread, all 94 pages I need to read.
Just a question though since I will be reading from this page on for the time being...

This is a thread about the current Kinnikuman storyline about a tournament that happened in the past but featuring people from the present who got there on some time ship??
Maybe I am way off but that is what I got from reading what you guys wrote.

By the way, reading all of your guesses makes me think that if the writer read this thread he would never be short on awesome ideas. They all seem so well thought out and exciting.

Phoenixman only became Super Phoenix because Suguru was going to ascend to the throne! And that hasn't happened!

NO, the time line is correct, look back to the G1 story line, Phoenixman became Super Phoenic right after the
tag team match, and started looking for team member shortly, so it didn't break the rule

Aww poor Neptuneman. Mammothman is pure evil. Looks like Neptune thought Mammoth would protect him in his moment of weakness, then Thunder lunged at him(who is now clearly a cat, now) and then Mammoth stepped out of the way, allowing Thunder's claw to hit.

Groan, looks like Thunder & Lightning steamrolled another team. As usual. How boring. I fail to see how Mantaro and Chaos can even compare to them at all. What the hell are they going to do? Yude made T&L too powerful. They cannot be stopped. Period. What a load of crap.

If this ever made it into the anime, you can bet the writers would have made it so their opponents put up a better fight. Excitment means ratings, non-stop steamrolling isnt exciting.

Wish i bloody knew about Neptunemans arm. I remember saying it was probably Thunder's mask after NEptuneman's arm collided with it during the Crossbomber, but i remember seeing him with his arm being fine after the bomber.

Also, erm... look at Neptuneman's arm in the panel where Mammoth steps out of the way and lets Thunder slash Neptuneman in the back. The bones... all the muscle and tendon has been completely torn out. Furkin OUCH!

I don't think someone can be overpowered in this comic or wrestling, there is always a secret weakness on the way, or a powerup for a different character so they can be on the same level.

an 'unknown' weakness doesn't take away that T&L are overpowered. And making other choujin more powerful just means that now there are more overpowered choujins, not more balanced fighting.

oh btw I have a theory about neptuneman's arm: thunder's mask had a curse or something, maybe a trap prepared for him. the cloaked guy knew it and warned mammothman to be careful about it. He didn't warned neptuneman. So just neptuneman tried to take off the mask, leading to taking just a piece of Thunder's mask. Then Neptuneman's arm got cursed! and now it's ripping apart itself or something, maybe with some help of the circus-like techiques of the five disasters.



Thunder reduced it's own mask's hp with curse!
Neptuneman's arm has been cursed!
Neptuneman used Helping Hand on Mammothman!
Mammothman it's unaffected!
Neptuneman's arm suffers because of the curse!
Thunder used scratch! Critical hit! It's super effective!
Neptuneman used wish!
Neptuneman used Splash! but nothing happened!

I'm thinking Abstract Phoenix might not be Phoenixman, but the God of Intelligence (that would fit the Abstract part, no?). Remember how the other gods took the forms of their respective fated princes (before getting beat up by Wolfman and Jessie Malvia...).

Also, Neptuneman getting his Magnet Power back was totally pointless. All he did with it was save Mammothman and do a cross bomber with it.

maybe it's really phoenixman, but he has no intention to defeat thunder and lightning, maybe he just wants to recruit mammothman. and now mammothman will just leave the ring and dissapear into the sunset with his cloacked friend.
OR maybe it's really super phoenix, BUT HE IS THE ONE WHO SENT THUNDER AND LIGHTNING to defeat kinnikuman and cripple every other seigi choujin in the proccess.

Seriously, what happened to Neptuneman's arm? Did T&L strap a grenade to it or something? Also did you just imply that the Five Disasters were likable? Sure they have a lot of cool techniques and look kinda cool, but invincible villains are boring as hell. I simply cannot accept that its even possible to beat them at this point. What the hell are Chaos and Mantarou planning on doing? If Neptuneman and Mammoth got so completely anihilated, i cant see Musclebrothers Nova posing any threat at all.

Also once again Lightning demonstrates his shapeshifting ability by forming some spikes on himself just like Neptuneman. Still hoping its Omegaman. And im still hoping Thunder is young Neptune King and that he is the real leader of the two.

EDIT - Erm the spikes on Neptuneman's jacket are gone in that last panel. Looks like Lightning... stole them? WAT!

I've figured it out.

Through the history of Kinnikuman, only one character has displayed the ridiculous level of move-reversals and downright invincibility that Lightning has.
