also one piece shows alot of nice belly buttons!!!Nowadays, a lot of fans like the generic, badass "pretty boys". Honestly, that character archetype has gotten really stale and boring. Naruto and Bleach are infested with those kinds of characters, and thus they don't appeal to me whatsoever. One Piece, on the other hand, is an absolute masterpiece. I find its eccentric art style very refreshing, and Oda is an amazing story teller. It's the true successor to Dragon Ball in this era.

Japan's animation industry is only as big as it is due to all of the cost-cutting methods they use. A lot of their practices wouldn't really fly in America.I don't get how so many shows end up having fifty-eight different animators. Do they go for the lowest bidder or what?
I mean, I'm used to a show having either good, or bad animation. Then again I don't watch most mainstream anime.
I do recall being bothered by the enormous leaps in animation quality when watching Gaiking: Legend of Daiku-Maryu (2005) though... And that was a 39-episode show, I mean, can't they even keep animation conistent over less than forty episodes? God damn you, Toei. Not that it surprises me considering they tried to rip Go Nagai (the original creator of Gaiking) off by removing his name from the credits in order to avoid paying royalties in the -77 Gaiking.

I do not get Deidara's popularity though. So its a guy that looks like a girl, big deal.
What made Deidara grow on me is that his outlandish design, abilities and views are played completely straight/as low-key elements. Everyone in-universe (himself included) takes him seriously, but not TOO seriously. IMO he also has some of the series' most memorable catchphrases ("...., nn."/"Geijutsu wa... bakuhatsu da!"/"Norma clear.")

the manga is currently being published in italy.I need to read it, but I did see the '00s anime dub. That was a fun series.
it has a nice anti-war message and is divided in amny small arcs.
the frist arc is the black ghost saga and it runs from volume 1 to volume 7.

Most fan fiction about this arc would probably be to improve this arc. Like T&L actually meeting some opposition from their opponents. You know, it would have been neat if NEptuneman and/or Mammothman managed to steal Lightnings mouthpeice, or even those time-slow horns/keys.
