Part 21 (15 Total)

 

Part 21 had 15 sculpts total. This part had the iconic Satan Cross sculpt (#292), Spinning Head Ashuraman (#305) and the Sunshine sculpt with the removable chest piece (#306).

 

Also many sculpts we wound up seeing in the Mattel Muscle releases are found here. By this point the collection had 306 figures total and this part is often difficult to complete because of the 3 sculpts mentioned )especially the Satan Cross because of the hind legs are often missing) but if you owned the Part Ten 28 Box set you could accumulate many of the Part 21 sculpts.

 

Some of the sculpts were later resculpted in 2008 so be aware when shopping online; the Satan Cross or Sunshine with removable chest piece for example; a good tell tale of course is the CHINA mark on the back and the sculpts are slightly smaller than the vintage KInkeshi from the 1980's.

 

I have a complete Part 21 set (two sculpts in Blue) along with the Daishi (my absolute favorite Daishi!) that came from a Gashapon machine I purchased.

Part 22 (10 Total)

 

This part had 10 sculpts total and was released in 1985 or 1986 (not 100% sure) and this set has an awesome sculpt in Bike Man's literal bike Keshi (#308) but most people find the Ramenman (#313), Satan Cross (#310) & Warsman with claws (#314) sculpts interesting based on the Mattel MUSCLE history.

 

These three would appear in the Mattel line as super rare's (article: http://blog.uofmuscl...muscle-figures/).

 

A piece of Littlerubberguys.com history as well since they were discovered by jKaris

 

I have a full set in flesh and this set is easier to complete but best and more economical to buy as a set (separately the figures can get expensive if you add it all up).

Part 23 (8 Sculpts total)

 

Part 23 had 8 sculpts total or 10 sculpts if you count the tag Teams. I have a full set along with the backing board Daishi; one sculpt (#324) being red and not flesh (I also have the #324 sculpt in blue).

Part 24 (13 Sculpts Total)

 

Part 24 had 13 sculpts and here we saw some interesting sculpts in the SD versions of Kinnikuman, Robin Mask & Mongol Man. This part had two very similar Neptune Man sculpts and the awesome #335 sculpt. I have Part 24 complete along with Daishi!

Part 25 (19 Sculpts Total)

 

Part 25 had a massive 19 sculpts; I own a complete Flesh set along with the Daishi. The part also had more SD sculpts and smaller/mini sculpts of the popular characters.

Part 26 (15 Sculpts Total)

 

Part 26 had 15 sculpts total and I have a complete set along with the Daishi; however for this set I have a rainbow of color sculpts including crystal and glitter. 

 

Once you get to this part it's 317 sculpts total. Acquiring any of these sculpts starts to get pricy, so collecting these or completing it is more difficult than earlier parts.

Part 27 Blue (12 Sculpts Total)

 

Part 27 had 12 sculpts total and for some reason I have this complete 2 times (blue & green) and almost a 3rd time in red. This part you can find complete and often at Mandarake; if possible it's best to try and buy any of the later parts complete or as complete as possible (if you add it all up and if bought individually they can get pricy).

Part 28 had 10 sculpts total and I have a complete set (along with sculpts in other colors); this was the hardest Part for me to complete!

Not done counting my green Kinkeshi from my Japan purchases yet but just out of curiosity I wanted to know how many I had from the 418 collection; I checked the checklist and I have 200 Kinkeshi total.

I decided to display them next to my regular Part 1-Part 30 collection (since they filled up an acrylic nail polish display staircase; I just need to print out a new display sign since I had a double print out sign); not going for a master set or anything because the variants and bootlegs out there would be/are to overwhelming to complete and tell apart.

 

I could not fit all of them though!

In this green Kinkeshi collection am sure I have a bootleg/Amada 3.5 cm Kinkeshi or two in the lot (despite them having the YSNT mark on the back etc) as you can see by the giant lightbulb dude in the picture

Still...

These I was able to sort through more easily and took out the bootlegs (no markings but again even with a faint YSNT mark on the back they could still be bootleg).

 

In the lot I have a Kinkeshi "Spinning Head" Ashuraman sans head (haha).

I decided to display them next to my regular Part 1-Part 30 collection and below the green Kinkeshi.

 

I still need to count the reds & yellows!

And Kinkeshi have good QC, anything warped or faded markings are usually boots.

Finally had time to count my Yellow Kinkeshi (like the green, blue & red Kinkeshi).

 

I wanted to know how many I had from the 418 collection; So comprimising Part 1 to Part 30 I have 151 Kinkeshi total.

 

I might consider collecting more of these until I complete the 418 line or get to even numbers. For some reason the yellow from all the colors are more scarce or were harder to find for me (I purposely looked for them and sought them out in Japan).

Huge update! At least for me...for those who know me on LRG/keeping track; I have been trying to complete the vintage Kinkeshi line. I was two sculpts away until now, I am happy to say that I acquired one of those two Kinkeshi recntly and it arrived in the mail today!

 

Flesh #387 has been added to my collection and that puts me at 417 figures total. So am only missing one more! #393 has eluded me but am gonna find him somewhere sometime
