Bless you sir. May I use your pictures on my site?
Was Hanuman recalled in the UK as well?

Been keeping an eye on this topic for a while now. Since I was a kid, I've always been intrigued by the Series 4 check list. Firstly, it was the fact that a monster was missing. Secondly was the weird names they were given for UK release e.g. (Sledge Hammer, Fire Creature, Mutant Spider). For so long I believed these were the correct names, and it wasn't until the age of 16 when I first got back into MIMP that I found out otherwise!
Besides all the above, the third and most distinctive feature of the leaflet is the fact that none of the 100-point monsters look "glow-in-the-dark" as they should do. Which has left me wondering as to whether other possible non-GITD versions actually exist like Green Ghilan, or Green Astaroth for example. However I'm guessing the ones featured were just prototypes made for advertising purposes.
What I want to know is, has anyone else here ever asked if other painted versions of standard colour 100-point monsters exist?
And also, apart from the obvious regarding missing Hanuman, is there any other plausible explanation as to why Matchbox had to change the names too?

That is the part that surprised me. Not sure why changing all the names was necessary. Maybe they were threatened with lawsuits?

I would guess it was some marketing person's idea, to use names that are more descriptive of the character's look and names that kids would understand more, rather than names that mean nothing to anyone unfamiliar with cryptozoology/mythology. Personally I disagree with this idea, if it was the case. Sure the term "Zombie" would mean more to most people than "Houngan" but by simplifying it like that and trying to leech off the popularity of other zombie depictions, you lose the originality and uniqueness.
Great to see the Cromy guide Behemoth, there is so little info around about these figures. And good call to not just copy the made-up names used on Little Weirdo's, as it would only encourage lazy copycat sites and toy researchers to assume the names created for the little weirdo's site are official (despite the fact that he says they're not).

The Cromy guide will get an update in a couple of weeks as I won 3 Ebay lots with some new figures in them. I hope at some point the real names are discovered (if there are any). But until then I think it is best to go by numbers/pictures

Would be cool to know the official names but if there were any sources for these wouldn't it have shown up by now?
Then again, the Star Monster only just appeared so who knows.

I'm assuming you mean just new colors? As I thought all the sculpts had been found

Yeah an update on colors. As far as I know, there aren't any new sculpts.
Never know about information. Sometimes is takes forever to leak out. Until then we'll be describing them as "That guy with the weird face" or "Hunchback looking dude" or using numbers.

I hear what you're saying about the name changes, and I agree it was a stupid idea. This still doesn't explain why it doesn't depict actual GITD figures either.
I take it no such figures exist? Regardless of whether these were just prototypes or not, would be cool to see one" in the flesh" so to speak.
