Is it just me or are the Beastformers and Laser Beasts links dead?

At the moment they seem to be, but there have been some nice auctions over the summer though. I'm still annoyed that last boxed Dino Gator I was winning got pulled 10s before the auction ended..

haha looks like I misunderstood. I keep a document with saved search phrases in katakana, At one point I figured out how to navigate through and save some searches in my YAJ account but these are useful to have in other contexts as well. For reference:

 

ビーストフォーマー  - Beastformers

レーザービースト  - Laser Beasts

ビーストサーガ - Beast Saga

トランスフォーマー -Transformers

タカラ - Takara

 

other terms

フルセット - full set

セット - set

当時物 - "time thing" (assuming this means something close to "vintage")

消ã￾—ゴム - keshigomu

 

I've not found a relevant term for "lot" like we typically use in English, seems in large listings are often referred to it as a "set of about <quantity>"

You are correct. In Japanese they use specific counters to represent plurality or any given quantity of merchandise.

The counters are based on the size and type of the item. Small figures are generally 個 or "ko." Seems odd to some, but that's how the language works.

See example of a pic I snapped where 1個 is 105円.
