That Mammoth is awesome!

A bunch of prehistoric elephants! They should have those cast and sell them to us.

I'd collect these if there was a guide, but since the line is rather obscured, even in its own country, I just think it's too hard to collect in a completist fashion unfortunately. It's more of if you like what you see, get what you can/what's available. What that being said, I do think their sculpts and designs are unique in a good way.

Hi, all!
Large selection of Old Style Russian Battle Beast http://www.ebay.com/...=&_trksid=p3686

Small request; could you maybe stop adding 'Laser Beasts' in all of your auction titles?
Battle Beasts seems relevant on these in particular because they're essentially knockoffs, but Laser Beast and Beast Saga aren't relevant or necessary. Just spam up my search queries.

I swear I've seen that triceratops before on this board, but maybe it was a Google image search.
Also interesting to me that skeletons are an ingrained part of the BB world in Russia to such an extent due to the game that was released there (did we ever figure out the name of that game, btw?)
Posted 08 October 2013 - 06:24 AM
Name of the game itself is not. According to Russian it sounds like this: RoboZveri (Animals cyborgs /eng./)

Nice, thanks for the info! If you're able to post in Russian here (never tried so not sure if it works?) could you type the name in Russian for reference?

In Russian is: РoбoЗвeри

Any idea how to purchase/import this from Russia? I imagine the cost will be inflated, but understandable when being on the foreign side of things. Figures look great in color.

I'm not sure those are already available. They are in the "coming next" section at the Tehnolog site.

Those guys look quite nice all painted up. Having said that I'd be surprised if the final product ends up looking that detailed...
Thanks for sharing
EDIT: Just found a great Russian blog post from a few months ago about Russian Battle Beasts. I wonder if any member here is the author?
"They were sold at some collapse (I can hardly remember now the contours of the seller and his counter), lying in a large cardboard box, colorful, two species: moose and foxes. I was eight years old. Just by looking at them, I realized that it was my destiny. "
Tons of great environmental photos of the Russian counterparts as well as the KOs, and a quite lengthy backstory about the author's experience with them as a kid as well as some details regarding where they came from and how they were distributed in the 90's.

Ok, does anyone else see the resemblance between the Russian bear here and Billy Bob from Rock-afire Explosion? Is it just me?

The new line of Russian BB, never officially released in Russia.
The next release date moved back to an unknown date.
I managed to get a few more samples in 2012. Even with a gun! Now I sell them at eBay.

I like the gold/copper color. And it's interesting to see them with their weapons now.

I see elements of Zarganian and Shool there; love the crabs! (especially the one in the lower-right)
